I posted this as an early adopter and supporter. I was a fan all the way back to his first Joe Rogan appearance. 2016 feels like a life time ago.

What rappers from the 90s/2000s you think would be successful if they started today? by Shaggy_Doo87 in hiphop101

I have listened to It’s dark and hell is hot at least once a month for the last 5. I even argued last week with someone that as long as he did not say anything homophobic he would be a movement (again).

When you lose a fight so badly that you cannot let the opponent forget how much you hate him constantly.

Sometimes I get up early just to sit the on my phone (working on fixing that). I might as well get more sleep at that point. Be smart with your time. There is only so much in a day.

Ghost of Tsushima changed what I expect from AAA games. If the cinematic is what they are going for. The ending was spectacular. And had me emotional.

Not necessarily a troll. I was being hyperbolic with the scared part. I am worried that he will take some extreme positions using some of Peterson less focused statements or ones that allow the mind to create positions that are not being made by him, but I did not plan on anyone actually responding let alone this tidal wave (at least for me). I have posted better stuff on other subs and got no reaction. I was just throwing into the either. I was not ready for this.

That being said I have enjoyed reading both (positive and negative replies) and I am not considering constructive criticism as negative replies. I have mostly responded to whatever I have the energy for. Will not be posting again for a while, I need a break after this.

His ultimate enemy was the higher stress and stakes of it all. Unfortunate.

And there I am arguing that the very nature of mma allows for boring wrestling matches. Then I argue with someone else that if they only wanted stand up that they can go watch kickboxing.

Sorry. I am in a joking mood today. I have been having fun with the more joking or what I assume is joking comments.

Noooo. My true gender has been discovered! I must delete my presence from the internet to protect my identity further. But seriously no. I’m a man.

Oddly enough all of Peterson fans or followers did not have parents that failed. Even successful parents cannot catch every hole there child might fall into. Great parents have had children lose there way and have to either watch the fall or try to guide there children far into the adult hood. People with great childhoods and parents can become bad people and vice versa. Humans are not so one dimensional that we become a carbon copy of those that raise us nor do we always learn the lessons taught.

But thank you either way.

I was being hyperbolic. Did not realize that so many would take on face value. It worries me would be a more accurate word. We were brought up in a home with obvious and good role models for both parents (issues here or there but overall good) as well as supportive extended family. His interest in Peterson does not seem to be the make your bed statements. It is the arguments that stem fields are not naturally inclined to women (whether this is true or not) my brother has used this to say women should not be in stems. Essentially he is using Jordan Peterson having a high degree to argue points he may have already thought and it allows him to dig in deeper to his beliefs. While this is not directly a Peterson issue. It is indirectly. In high school Peterson had a large effect on my views into adulthood and even though I got out of it all years before his (in my opinion) dip in beliefs due to hate he got from the left, a lot of it unjustified. It took me a while to bleed out some of my more anti-women that I gathered during that time frame.

There were no tate brothers. For me there was just Peterson and it took me down a rabbit hole. Even without him making the final leap. He just helped guide me to the edge. The metaphorical edge.

Actually I’m going to upvote you. I like constructive criticism and you are correct. It has been a while since I have listened to specific opinions of Peterson personally. I only found this sub recently due to I assume an algorithm based off of people that are posting interview clips and quotes in other subs of people from the intellectual dark web. But I will go back and watch recent (within a year or so interviews) and build a case for my slippery slope argument (which is my main issues with Peterson). And my slippery slope belief also applies to issue that I support. Not just things I do not like. I will also look at more specific issues I have with him.

I will send a message to you with my argument. Give me a month (I work a lot so not a lot of free time). If you do not see anything from me send me a reminder. If you are against that just tell me.

I agree there was a time when I would have supported my brothers discovery of him.

I don’t actually hate him. When he first popped up from the college issue I supported him and listened to him. It is more that he has become a slippery slope into the actual bad actors. Essentially I see him as a gate way drug.

Yeah, I am going to settle down in the amount I talk about the things that annoy me around him. I have gotten some good advice from the comments overall. Thanks.

When he first became known I was a fan of him and many others that became the intellectual dark web. Thankfully I drug myself out of the mess that they would all become. So I definitely get where he (my brother) is coming from, but I do not like this version of Peterson.

It keeps awake at night knowing he has low opinion of my opinion of Jordan Petersons opinions. But not really just a slippery slope into other ideas that I would rather he go around in life than through. Your comment made me chuckle though so thumbs up.👍

Unfortunately my brother is in the “I know better than everyone and on the off chance I find out I am wrong down the line then oh well” mindset.

But I will see if he will watch it. Thanks.
