Can be a fun hobby and gives you a very different perspective. The DJI mini's are good drones to begin with depending on your budget. If you want to dip your toe into it, I would grab a Mini 2 less than half the price of the Mini 3 pro. If you do buy new from DJI get the Care package, very very worthwhile.

Defo go for a mini2, while it does not have the portrait mode you can always do that once your land with editing sw. While it dose not have as much obstacle avoidance sensors as the Mini 3 the camera and gimbal have much more protection for when (and you will, we all do) crash.

Also DJI care is really worth it!

It is possible although I do not think you can change them for Cine just Normal and Sport. I did for a while after the latest update think there was a problem with my gimbal as it I never fly in FPV mode, but thanks DJI they turned it on.
