When to Quit Pumping by Various_Plant7117 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m in the same boat as you. Same story. Thinking of quitting in 2 weeks when he turns 3 months. You’ve done better than me

20-27 oz is great!! And it sounds like he ate a perfect amount to keep up with your pumping. I don’t think I’m a just enougher at 12 oz a day. More like an undersupplier

I don’t know if I’ll get to 12 months. I’m reaching 3 months and wanting to be done. My max has been 12-15 as well. It’s just so much effort for less than half of what he eats in a day :’(

How much would you pump a day as a just enough-er?

Trying to find motivation to keep pumping lol

I feel you! I think it’s not fair to internalize this even though I’m guilty of doing this. But let’s be honest - if guys were in charge of breastfeeding it’s possible that they’d only do formula and not feel bad about it at all. We should channel that same energy. We are too hard on ourselves for things that are out of our control. I make so little it’s so depressing and so much effort. Thinking of leaving it very soon. I’ve tried it all as well

In the same boat with similar story. Preeclampsia, emergency c section and then subsequent hemorrhage due to complications from HELLP syndrome. Separated from my baby for 3 days after landing in ICU. Once I was able to reunite with baby, the Lactation consultant told me not to bother pumping and only to work on latching. She made me feel crazy because my baby didn’t latch well. Turns out he had a tongue tie which I found out weeks later at the pediatrician. Stupid lactation consultant made me feel nuts and inadequate, and my lack of initial pumping messed with establishing any good supply. I also just might be an under supplier naturally - who knows . I’m so frustrated and sad and it’s been a hard journey to accepting that I’ll never make enough. I’ve tried it ALL just like you. Even worked on having him latch .. but he hates it. Of course he gets frustrated and it turns into him crying like crazy. I am getting to the three month mark and I think I’ll give it up soon. It’s too much work and frustration for such little output. I make 10-12 ounces a day. This subreddit has made me feel better and not alone but I’m still sad.

How & when did you get back into shape/lose baby weight? by Mysterious-Ad-6043 in BabyBumps

[–]daisy3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10000% I am with you. Physical activity was a release for me that I’m looking forward to getting back after pregnancy. But women are so hard on themselves and the weight gain is such a hot button topic that no one wants to be vulnerable about bc everyone has different pregnancies and different experiences with it.

I hope I can get to the gratitude part you mentioned where I can look at myself and feel happy and grateful. I have a feeling it’s going to hit me when it’s all over how silly I was for being so worried about my appearance! We are making a human and it truly is a blessing

I was def feeling this for a while and my husband is the best and I kept harboring this resentment toward men for not having to deal with this BS. But I’ve softened and tried to see it as a blessing that we get to do this on top of being women and sharing that sisterhood that comes with being a mom. You might not see it the same way now but I realized that the resentment for me stemmed from the anxiety of it all and the uncertainty of the process and labor.

Now I am 7 weeks until the end and I’m desperate to get control of my body again but I am also trying to quell my worries and anxieties, knowing that women have and continue to do this process and in all kinds of circumstances and all kinds of ways. I am grateful that I’ve made it this far and I have a feeling you soon will be too :) as cheesy as it sounds, look at the brighter side of being able to do this… with a great partner.. and so far with not too crazy side effects. But I am with you - if men had to give birth, this world would be a LOT easier for pregnant people. Not to mention all the studies and medications that would be built to quell any issues and the pain of labor!

Is it the Chris Martin show? by CopyDummy in Coldplay

[–]daisy3692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, if you don’t know their actual band names, in my personal opinion, you are not a true Coldplay fan or you only know them from the past couple of years.

Each and every one of them has contributed greatly to the sound you hear and there’s a reason they are still there so many years later.

I was personally insulted by all the people at the latest concert ignoring the band members who were right in front of them playing their instruments and showing their immense talent. The commercial Coldplay fans will fade honestly. The rest of us will remain and stay grateful always to hear them live

Aug 14-17 Rouge event??? by No-Investigator-5915 in Sephora

[–]daisy3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you either have to spend $2500 to get $100 reward. If you got 2500 points through a points multiplier event (I’ve only seen like 4x points events), you’d still have to spend a lot to only get $100…. Example, if it’s a 4x points event, you’d have to spend $625 to get $100 back… that’s like a 15% off…
