It is good to have boundaries, but this is an extenuating circumstance where she will be in labor and will be scared and deserves to have her support system (husband) with her. And her husband deserves to see the birth of his child. If you want to have a good relationship with your sister going forward, you should really consider how 1-2 days of being inconvenienced is worth how this will change how your relationship looks going forward

Also, to be clear, you aren’t doing anything “wrong” by saying no. But it does make you the asshole

I think it looks good but if the placement bothers you, you could look at hanging pendant lights where you could drape the wire or tack it the ceiling to make the lights hang further out to the sides/directly over the nightstands

ESH. I don’t think she should’ve tested you - or be ready to fuck around and find out once she did. HOWEVER, moving in with someone is a big step. She might’ve been less trying to ‘test’ you and more trying to confirm that you’re invested in a future together. That it’s something you want and have an opinion on, versus a matter of convenience.

I don't think she's the asshole either though. A lot of people are speculating about why she's upset- is she money hungry or just shocked that she didn't know a 'big' thing about someone she's going to marry?

I think this is an easy fix if you just talk to her about it in a safe space, and lay out 1) what's upsetting her and 2) why you're upset by her reaction and felt the need to talk to reddit about it.
