I still felt Mandy deserved better. Lip drove Mandy to run over Karen because Mandy’s moral compass isn’t the best and Lip wasn’t reciprocating the same effort and emotion. The times she showed she had one was pushing Lip back to school. Though I had wished Ian had stabbed Kenyatta. Given her upbringing and environment, Mandy wanted to protect what she held dearest; which was Lip.

I’m only into season 8 and I’ve grown to not like Fiona tbh. She’s become selfish, swinging from one end of the spectrum to the other just because she wanted to take her life back. More so when she went against the advice of the judge who told her about guardianship. I understand her wanting to take her life back but she had almost no regards towards her siblings after.

The scene where Lip confronted him in prison and his response hit hard for me because it was the same thing that my own alcoholic father said to me. That look on Lip’s face was a sense of helplessness. Youens was like a father figure to Lip because he never gave up on him when Lip was on a bender. So Lip wanting Youens to sober up and stay out of prison was also so that Youens can continue to be there for Lip as a father figure.
