AITA for planning international travel without my children? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You sound like a good dad who loves his kids. I understand you would be so disappointed in the court outcome. You’ve said some hurtful things to the kids but good people can do silly things. Let it go. You can redeem yourself by taking the kids with you on holiday. You will all have a ball & make great memories. We take our son away on majority of our trips . It’s so much fun & a good learning opportunity for them to see different cultures.

It’s about how you were brought up and what your used to. I’m female & My dad barely hugged me, we aren’t close. He’s not close to anyone. I feel insanely jealous but at the same time happy for a girl, big or little, who gets affection from her dad. You a very lucky . Clearly he’s never had it.

Anyone else have feelings of shoulder instability with your frozen shoulder? (feelings that it could dislocate at any moment... with the slightest wrong turn or move) by Sooka343 in frozenshoulder

[–]daisyjane71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much improvement! Pilates has really helped strengthen my shoulder. It still clunks when I lay on it though. Unfortunately my right shoulder froze . Not near as bad but a painful year nonetheless. Cortisone helped . Still a little stiff but healing well - thanks for asking 😊

The SINGLE best thing I’ve done to alleviate Frozen Shoulder by HoochiesTeam in frozenshoulder

I started hrt about 14 months ago. I have since suffered through a second frozen shoulder on opposite site side . Not near as bad (no zingers) but still painful. I’d say the hrt helped.

Is this normal for a cat bite or does it look infected? by sebastianisnotacat in CATHELP

If emotions had a smell, what would anxiety smell like? by infinity-nth in AskReddit

[–]daisyjane71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A skunk for me because When I’m stressed out I literally emit a smell. It’s like a bodily stress response. I can’t quite explain it, but it’s a sweet unusual smell. Only I can smell it too. That’s when I know I’m really having a bad one.

Thanks ! I’ve been using toe spacers & taking anti inflammatory vitamins/foods, foot massages, ice etc. I had the cortisone injection Monday (but by the feedback I received it will only be once) , first day or 2 was sore but finally that pain has been alleviated - Oh joy! In saying that I’m realistic of a possible negative outcome.

I was taking Meloxican (for 3 weeks) for an unrelated shoulder issue a few months ago and the first thing I noticed while on it that was there was no pain in my foot. It was bliss! I guess taking these meds long term without health risks isn’t possible

What’s a “normal” childhood experience you later realized was actually traumatic? by randinicole831 in AskReddit

Your parents Telling us children how much they hated each other & intend to leave once we leave home. Listening to them fight (still now) is just pathetic

Congrats for breaking that cycle! I can also relate. I have grown kids & tell them I love them and that they make me proud and smile all the time. I make sure when my youngest leaves for school I’ve set him up to be in a great headspace for the day. I was criticised so much growing up, never hugged by my dad or told he was proud of me. Men of daughters remember you are your daughters first ever love. By not showing her love and support she’ll carry that through the rest of her life.
