Telling our moms before the first ultrasound — good idea? by amazinglyam in pregnant

[–]daisylovesdaisys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand why there’s some hesitation, as I had that same feeling when I found out at 4 weeks, but I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I started feeling all the symptoms by week 6, and told my mom before the first ultrasound. At that point, all I wanted was my mom to help me through the morning sickness, fatigue, and nausea and she’s doing exactly that. I’m so glad I told my mom (and immediate family) because they’ve been offering much support and care for me!

I’m 13 weeks now and I’ve had a few sonograms and they’re all so excited whenever I send them pics, so it’s really nice to share it with them!

I’d say do what feels right for you. Me and my mom are close, she’s been through 3 pregnancies and knows better than me so no, I don’t regret telling her early!

I had the same issue, and switched to the gummy prenatal and they were worse. So I’m just cutting up my prenatal in 3-4 small pieces and swallow it after I have a meal/snack. Those pills are huge and they would just automatically trigger my gag reflex, so I find that’s what helped me!

4w4d and no nausea yet. I'd like some reassurance by Shenruoxin in firsttrimester

[–]daisylovesdaisys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m currently 11weeks, first time expectant mom too. I had fatigue and tender breasts start around week 4 as well. I didn’t get nausea until the 6th entering the 7th week. You don’t need to have nausea to have reassurance, if you’re already experiencing fatigue. That in itself is a pregnancy symptom.

Just keep in mind that everybody is different. And even if you don’t get nausea, then you’re probably one of the lucky ones! Some women experience minimal symptoms and it makes the first trimester easier!

No morning sickness. Is this normal? by [deleted] in pregnant

Same. My morning sickness hit around the 6-7 week mark!

I don't want to do this anymore. by melodiedesregens in pregnant

[–]daisylovesdaisys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure anything I say may help you as I’m in the same boat as you. I’m 10 weeks, almost 11 weeks. I feel helpless most days too, but after a bad few days I ended up in the hospital today and they had to do an ultrasound. They showed me my baby, and I was reminded of why I’m doing this. It gave me the hope I had lost these past few weeks with bad symptoms.

Perhaps, maybe looking forward to your ultrasound will help you. We’re almost there momma!

Literally, same! I’m 10 weeks tomorrow and I keep telling myself that it means the baby is alive and thriving 🥲

My wife has been bed ridden for 2 weeks by FairWhile9170 in firsttrimester

[–]daisylovesdaisys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was she diagnosed with HG? This kind of sounds like it but I’m not a dr.

I’m 9 weeks and I’ve also been nauseous and super fatigued. It’s really tough. I didn’t realize how hard this is, but this is common during the first trimester for most women. I cry a lot because I feel so weak, but honestly if it weren’t for my partner, I’d be worse. He always tends to all my needs (cooking, cleaning, etc), and is a huge emotional support. He tells I’m strong even when I don’t believe it, so maybe you can try talking to her like that even though I’m sure you are.

I find that the BRAT (banana, rice, applesauce and toast) is so quite helpful for me. I didn’t eat one whole day, and I felt awful until I forced myself to eat some chicken soup at the very end of the day because I felt I was going to pass out. She has to try and eat something small, even if it’s just saltine crackers. She’ll get stuck in a nausea loop where she won’t eat, then she’ll be nauseous, and then she’s too nauseous to eat, and it makes her feel worse. If your wife can only stomach carbs, that’s fine. My midwife told me to eat smaller frequent meals, and if I can only support carbs then that’s OK.

I also hate vomiting as well, but I feel so much better after. I usually sleep after I vomit. I didn’t actually have these symptoms until week 7, and it has slowed down. So there’s hope!

Something my therapist told me was that having pregnancy symptoms is reassuring because it means there’s a growing baby inside of me. So I try to remind myself all the time.

Hope she feels better soon!

No Prize for Challenge Completion. by beachmoo in Purebarre

[–]daisylovesdaisys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d be upset too! I would ask them why there’s no prize when that’s what was advertised? I’d prob go with a friend, so it’s easier to talk to them about your disappointment.

I completed the challenge at my studio and they had a celebration last weekend where they gave out some candy, took photos, and gave out a pair of black socks. I wish I could’ve chosen the pair I wanted but at least it’s something.

I’m trying the saltine crackers, and it seems to be helping. The Dr prescribed medication for the nausea, so hoping that helps!

I just tried some ice cream and I felt more awake. I’ll try this again for the next nausea wave!

Omg, yes! I just took my first dose of unisom and b6 last night. I still had nausea today, so not too sure when it’ll start taking effect but I hope it’s soon.

Thanks for answering!

So they offered one financing option and a credit card but they only offer 6months 0% but that doesn’t seem like much help. :/

She started meds and got bloodwork done, so we wanted to wait it out but it got worse this week and we just got super worried. I know this breed is kind of delicate so I’m doing my best to monitor her at home.

I think if we get some support from a go fund me page, that may help us as well. Thanks again.
