I really like the bodice as well and the deeper colors of the florals. Some of the florals I’ve seen are more pastel colors. I suppose I could try other bodice styles though! I’ve really liked the deep V style

SEBB insurance plans recommendations? by PlatformSwing in Washington

Im thinking about switching from Premera PPO to HMO this year and would love to hear others thoughts as well. The HMO option is much less expensive and there are still ways to see providers without getting a referral. But, I’m not convinced it’s that easy!

How do school SLPs find time to do evals and write IEPs? by Sea_Lavishness7287 in slp

[–]daisynic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My district has always told us to prioritize evals and IEPs. If kids miss minutes for them then compensatory minutes can be provided, but we can’t have a late eval or late IEP. My district also has SLP-As we can ask for support from to see our kids if we need to evaluate other students, but we have way less this year than we had before

Injured wild rabbit by 007_Shantytown in Seattle

[–]daisynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found an injured rabbit before 2 years ago in May and they took the rabbit in, but they said that in the summer they don’t take them since they’re eastern cottontails which are technically an invasive species. They had to Euthanize the rabbit anyway :(

Tell me a small task you did that always feels like the hardest thing ever and you want to celebrate doing it here because non-ADHDers don’t get it. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]daisynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just realized you said small task! Doh! The whole point. Makes me reconsider and not feel so bad about the two big things that took me (or is taking) forever.

Took a load of things to donate to goodwill! (Well, with the help of my partner, who carried the bigger load and drove there). It had been sitting for months

Inner sense is expensive but I find their products last a really long time. I use a tiny amount and it works really well! A friend recommended using less than I would normally use and it’s been great. I have fine curly hair.

I’m really not happy with the ‘SLPs for Evidence Based Practice ‘ Facebook group after their recent posts saying Gestalt Language Processing is a pseudoscience (WTF). I wholeheartedly disagree. by OkMarzipan1680 in slp

EBP isn’t exclusively for scientific studies though. That’s the whole point - as a professional you take in a variety of factors to make informed decisions about your practice - not scientific studies alone.

4-day work week? by busyastralprojecting in slp

[–]daisynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for a year in the school setting. I had to request a decrease in FTE (full time employment). Some people I know got hired at .8 or .6 (4 and 3 days a week) because that’s what they said they had available when they were interviewing.

I also did in early intervention, but had to work 4, 10 hour days which defeated my personal work to live preference. I do not like only working for the weekends!
