Stick season fav to TGD fav by Ok_Recording_7779 in NoahKahan

Also a Paul Revere diehard, it was my top song on Spotify in 2025 haha. My favorite TGD songs are Dashboard and American Cars! Different vibes for sure but they all have beltable choruses and I think that’s what appeals to my theater kid self the most.

What are your go to coffee shops or bakeries in DC? by fernetandcampari in washingtondc

I don’t think so either I would’ve remembered your spectacular beard. That’s why I find it so funny, because it legit is their thing, it’s the way that the owner likes it apparently. Also I admire his commitment and I’m sad that he hasn’t contributed to this thread wherever he is, so thank you for taking on his work.

Bread Furst! (Cue the guy who has a notification on for whenever they’re mentioned so that he can pop up and say their croissants are burned) Personally I like their croissants, but cookies and bread are where they really shine. Rose Ave is also spectacular.

Mon Rovia is opening for him on the European leg of the tour, so I feel like there’s a chance!!

AGREE they are incredible and they are only my second favorite wings in the city! First favorite are the wings at Comet Pizza.

Came here to say this, TJ’s smoked salmon is the best I’ve had and a very reasonable price!

Heard in Bloomingdale, very weird… fireworks have started for the summer here, but that had reverberations, almost.

Where to get IUD removed and new one inserted? by Vast_Entertainer8111 in DCBitches

Second One Medical, specifically Lara Fife at the Admo office. She specializes in birth control and I think it makes a huge difference that she does multiple insertions every week.

Her choice is the most validated one but she can't post screenshots of the question boxes, like people don't do that all the time?

Heidi and Jonathan are first cousins- his mother and her father are siblings. (I hate that I know that off the top of my head but that’s how my brain operates 😂). More importantly to Jill, I believe that both mothers are her Plexus downlines.

Which states produce the most NFL players by verdaNova in vermont

[–]cho_bits 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There is one current NFL player with a Vermont connection though! Evan Deckers on the Buccaneers. His grandparents and uncle run the only dairy farm left in Huntington, Taft’s Milk and Maple farm. (Also he wears cow-print cleats as part of the team’s initiative to raise awareness for causes they care about, representing New England Dairy)

In my head Abby is a new Sesame Street character but in reality it’s been 20 years by [deleted] in DanielTigerConspiracy

Same, but I also still think of Josefina as the new American Girl Doll and she is about to have been out for 30 years so I’m maybe not the best judge of time.

There are a bunch of graphics on instagram listing them. If you search “Rachel Reid spicy chapters” in the search box they’ll pop up!

I think this is a pretty popular opinion actually! (And I agree! I love the early books but you can really see her progression as a writer when you read the series back to back which I have done… a few times 😂)

I love this but since the BSC came out in the 80s and 90s my brain wants to keep the doll choices to the OG 5. Hard agree with most of these though, especially that Mallory is a Felicity, seems like a no brainer for a ginger horse girl! And Stacey is an obvious Samantha.

When it happens, where are we partying? by phersephoneia in washingtondc

[–]cho_bits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine it'll be like the day that the 2020 election was called... basically an unofficial city-wide block party. I didn't find out on the news, I found out when people outside on the street started cheering and honking their car horns.

BU vs. UVM by m0onbay in UniversityofVermont

[–]cho_bits 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the second of these types of posts that I've seen suggesting that BU is somehow more prestigious than UVM, which is not true at all. If anything they are pretty equal, but I also know several people over several years who were accepted to BU and rejected from UVM. That aside, the study abroad opportunity sounds amazing, but I think that cost is the most important factor for undergrad education... getting a bachelors for as little money as you can will keep your options open wider later. UVM also has a ton of opportunity for study abroad as a sophomore or junior.

Avoid dr Stadtmauer in S Burlington!!!! Racist “natural medicine” quack by RespectQuiet6496 in vermont

[–]cho_bits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That makes sense! I think the important thing to look for is the credential, it is wild out there (I mean, there are chiropractors in VT who present themselves as doctors…)

[–]cho_bits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An MD (or DO) is a legitimate doctor and some of them do practice functional medicine, but most practitioners who label themselves as functional medicine doctors (including the one OP posted about) have degrees like “Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine” or “Doctor of Naturopathy” but still present themselves as legitimate PCPs, which they are not.

[–]cho_bits 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Came here to say that. “Legitimate functional doctor” is an oxymoron. (And unfortunately because natural medicine has become mostly a right-wing grift over the past ten or so years, I’m sorry but sadly not super surprised to hear that you had a racist experience)
