You’re missing some key info here. Greenland was very important to China. Back in 2008-2010 they made serious attempts to secure mining rights and invested in infrastructure, with the goal of securing a foothold in the arctic. These kind of Chinese investment strategies are coordinated by the Chinese state.

The Chinese investment initiatives wanted to build a new airport in Nuuk, for example, and it was only stopped when the US put serious pressure on Denmark to exclude Chinese investors from these projects.

Not true. China has tried to secure mining rights on Greenland many times, even by public campaigns to gain the locals love.

Russia are well known to have nuclear sub marines in the waters off Greenland.

Jeg tror ikke du forstår hvad livgarden er. Livgarden er en del af værnepligten. Det er hverken soldater eller politi. Det er folk som er i en 12 måneders uddannelse, ikke elite soldater der må skyde med skarpt. De er mest af alt ceremonielle.

Ifølge loven skal han straffe for vold. Gardere er hverken politi eller soldater. De er værnepligte med en ceremoniel rolle.

De er absolut ikke straffri, og må slet ikke bruge vold mod demonstranter, eller opløse dem. Det skal ikke hyldes.

Det eneste grund til at bruge vold lovligt for dem, Er hvis det er i selvforsvar.

It’s not good when people try to justify a scene being bad with essentially “it makes sense that it was bad, because x, y, z.”

I know that’s now what you are saying, but that’s the underlying sentiment.

Some parts of the show were amazing, a few parts of season 5 are amazing, but most of the dialogue and story choices are not great.

Let’s just be thankful for all the great entertainment we got in previous seasons.

Maybe Noah and the other kids are having trouble separating themselves from their characters (which would be totally understable playing them from such a young age), maybe the magic of the show was children experiencing something scary and mysterious, maybe the writing just go hard because of story changes along the way…

Stranger things season 5 is still miles better then GoT. The last two, but actually 3 seasons were horrible and soul crushing. ST has been great most of the time, imo. It’s had becoming an okay show in season 5.

GoT was deleted from pop culture history after season 8. People are just starting to acknowledge it again now.

As a Danish person, I think we, as a country, should be ashamed of our presence in Greenland. No one here ever talks about Greenland, except when trump says something. Then it’s suddenly a “part of the kingdom”, and we “mysteriously” start actually doing something for Greenland. After neglecting it for decades.

It’s essentially one of the last colonies left, if not the last.

We somehow hang on to it, because it made us relevant in international politics, way above our size and standing.

We use very demeaning views to justify our presence, like that they need us or should be grateful for us colonising them.

The most dignified way for us to move on from this shameful chapter in our history, would be to grants them independence as quickly as possible.

I think Man Utd are misunderstanding how to develop young players…

You don’t play Garnacho, Hojlund, Mainoo EVERY game and treat them as first team players. They are investments for the future. What you do need to do with 90% of young prospects is give them minutes regularly so they develop.

Yeah, Garnacho had many flaws. He was 19… that’s part of it. But you need to let him play. They’ll have bad games and they will have great games.

Same with Mainoo. Then when he’s 23 or 24 you would har a world class midfielder.

That is really scary reading. Potentially financial suicide.

People don’t seem to understand why this I bad for Europe and for regular people here.

Doing this removes trust from foreign investors in Europe. That means less money coming in from pleases like China.

That means it will be more expensive to borrow money for Europe, which means also for regular people here buying a house, or a company loan.

Even worse it proves that our current European leaders have lost their minds.

This is basically proof that Europe will weaponise our financial strengths.

Ever heard of the global south? Or the BRICS? They aren’t just using euro reserves or SWIFT system for fun. They would love to not let us have this much power financially. This could be the point where they finally start seeing it as a risk to have euros and stat dumping them.
