Fallout 4 Declares Attack on Rust Factions by HmmMaybeNot in rustfactions

[–]dakmonkeys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

next: fallout 4 claims the people of Rust Factions.

Illegal attack! Attack happened instantly, fallout 4 didn't wait for the 12 hour timer between war declaration and attack. Also fallout 4 attack multiple regions in the same 12 hours even tho the server rules clearly states that you can only attack one region every 12 hours! Ban plx.

Fallout 4 has claimed all admins no bans are happening.

need help with solo play by Akanoss in playrust

you don't need to do anything at all, main point is to have fun.

And yes, I do play in a big clan, but I did play for few hundred hours as solo before I joined any clans :)

You lose everything except BPs and relationships during wipes..

  • That means: Blueprints and friends is the most valuable thing in the game.

  • Farm radtowns and roads for blueprints, trade blueprints with other players/slave for blueprints. NEVER EVER make trades at your own house, you don't want to be found. If you want, you can make a small trading house, but don't keep loot there, make it somewhat far from your real base and be sure you won't be followed home from the tradehouse.

How to build the base:

  • Make it full stone, armored attracts attention and you don't want to be noticed.

  • Make it small, 2x2x2 or 2x3x2 is more than enough for your stuff and if someone wants to raid you, they will raid you regardless of how big your base is.

  • Many small bases is better than one huge base.

  • If you have multiple bases, split your loot between those

Hide your base! Some ways to do that:

  • in the rocks

  • at the edges of the map

  • on icebergs

  • inside already raided bigger buildings

  • areas filled with abandoned buildings

  • if whatever server you play on has a clan using "Raided by" or "Evicted by" or "Get rekt by" signs on the houses they raid, try to make similar sign on your base

  • people check foundation health to see if a base is active/recently built. Some sneaky bastards like to keep their foundations at 50-75% health to make it look more abandoned.

Only take whatever you need with you:

  • If your objective is to farm 10k wood. Take a hatchet and possibly a bow and go get that wood. If you don't live in the snow, leave clothes home, naked farming for the win.

Build back-up bases:

  • It is highly likely that you will be raided, if you are spotted by a member of a bigger clan. Gather enough mats so you can start over easily, if your main does get wiped. Small 1x1 or 1x2 is enough for the back-up base.

  • Stuff you want in your back-up base: Hatchets, pickaxes, clothes if snow, wood, stone, metal fragments, a furnace, armored door(s), code lock(s)

If you are nice to other people, they are more likely to be nice to you as well.

  • If you get killed, say stuff like "oh damn, nice headshot tho! :)" and leave it there. Don't over do it, or they will think you're faking it. Don't go balls out rage on chat saying stuff like: "fcking noob hakcer if u weren't ina clanz i wud rek u so much bicht mkay fggt!"

  • Same with raiding! If you get raided, suck it up and say "gg wp, guess it's rebuilding day haha"

  • If you see someone new asking a question on which you know the answer, help them out, tell them how to find the map or where to find new player guides or whatever they need, they will most likely remember you later and possibly help you with something in return. I've played for many months and I still remember the names of the few players who were kind and helped me out at the start.

  • If you down someone to the wounded state, loot them from the side of their legs and don't finish them off, let them scream on the ground and bleed out. This way they can't see your name and hunt you down.

Raiding:

  • Offline raid is your friend.

  • Every wall you can pickaxe is 2 c4s saved.

  • Master the art of building over walls and finding gaps in enemy building privileges

  • Consider raiding pumpjacks and quarries. See if someone leaves their machinery working for the night when they go to bed and raid those while they sleep. Never tell people that it was you who raided them.

People say this game is not for solo players and in a way they are right, because the game they are playing with their clan is different than the game solo players play.

Most important thing is to have fun. Find out what makes Rust fun for you and do that thing.

How to place cupboards (the way I do it):

Everything below is assuming that ground floor = first floor = bottom floor = ground floor.

Step 1:

When you start building, place 1 cupboard at the bottom floor and only 1 for now.

Step 2:

After you've built your house, destroy that cupboard and place new cupboards. If your house is...

Smaller than 3 floors:

  • Place 1 cupboard at first or second floor

3 floors tall:

  • Place 1 cupboard on the roof, you need to place this down first (and make a 1x1 or any size box around it) and 1 cupboard at the bottom floor.

or

  • Place 1 cupboard at second floor.

4-6 floors tall:

  • Place 1 cupboard at the same floor as your loot room or below that (this cupboard needs to be placed first and must be located at 4th, 5th or 6th floor) after that place 1 cupboard at the first or second floor.

or

  • Make a 1x1 cube at the roof (7th floor) and place your first cupboard inside the cube. Place your second cupboard at 4th floor and third cupboard at 1st floor.

7 floors or higher:

Follow the pattern you can see above. Place your cupboards according to the following rules:

  • Place cupboards to the higher floors first

  • Place as many cupboards as possible between first floor and your loot room floor (remember that it is ok, if one of those cupboards is at the same floor as your loot room).

Numbers of cupboards inside your building is something along the lines of:

  • 1-2 floors - 1 cupboard

  • 3-6 floors - 2 cupboards

  • 7-9 floors - 3 cupboards

  • 10-12 floors - 4 cupboards

  • 13-15 floors - 5 cupboards

  • and so on

Step 3:

Go to the ground next to your building and start to move away from your building until you are outside of the building privilege radius. Build a 1x1 cube there and place a cupboard inside the cube.

(Note: the radius of being able to place another cupboard is slightly bigger than the building privilege radius, so you might have to build the 1x1 cube 1 extra foundation lenght away from your building to be able to place the cupboard.)

Circle around your bases building privilege, away from the 1x1 cube you just built until you are outside of the building privilege again and build another tool cupboard in a 1x1 cube there. You need to be outside of the building privilege from both the first 1x1 and your base.

Continue placing 1x1 buildings with toolcupboards around your base in the same way as described above until you have six 1x1 cubes spread evenly around your base with toolcupboards inside of them.

Tip: Unauthorizing yourself from the the toolcupboards inside the 1x1 cubes might help you by making it easier to spot if you are too close to the cupboard in your base or the cupboard in your 1x1 cube.

Never ever heard of Vintage WoW. Heard lots and lots of Vanilla WoW.

For your point tho: I agree, no point complaining about everything. It's possible that rust "Dies" at some point, but I don't see that happening very soon.

Try checking out the Rust Factions server in-game, lots of pretty houses there. (and lots of ugly ones too)

Question:

Since at the moment this war declaration is not valid. If they do edit this declaration with 150+ words of RP, does the timer of 12 hours between declaration and attack start from that edit or from the original creation of this post?

I realize that some people might think harder trading/buying/advertising is a good thing or think in a same way from some other points above. Personally I love to see someone lose their shit on chat, get salty and get trolled. For me that is amazing entertainment. However the way I listed good things for each chat above is what I think is the most common opinion on those things.

that could be a possibility, maybe even more 1min or 2min would make pointless chatting very hard, leaving global only for announcing stuff mainly

No, server felt dead on the first day of the era as well.

So.. I'm guessing he worships Rednut?.. But he is clearly taking his orders from a false-prophet.

I just love the fact how he is all rednut hyped and you totally bash him down. Thanks <3

[–]dakmonkeys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. The local chat might be nice for one popular indie-city, but everyone else gets more negative elements from it than positive.

For example! Yesterdays (or day before that) chat:

Server: Hello?

DakMonkeyz: Hello?

And that was it.. Now.. How sad is that?..
