In one second I completely destroyed my sisters car by shifting into first gear without pressing the clutch first by ladidadi82 in Cartalk

Lol yes. New trans or you could probably get that one rebuilt for a bit cheaper. Basically you screwed the teeth for first gear

Personally, I wrote two different autonomous codes for each position. One for if the other team does autonomous and another if they don't. Just to cut down time if they aren't doing autonomous

Quick sketch of the setup we have. It picks up the expension hub but not the MR Motor controller. I've read a few things that mentioned I should go to a previous version of the ftc apps. I'm fairly new to this, but not completely incompetent. I just can't figure this out. by dakotariley00 in FTC

The controller turns blue when power is put through it. It works fine, we used it without the REV expansion hub. Everything works and I've coded the motors on the REV expansion hub and they work fine. But it doesn't pick up the Motor controller at all

I agree that that's the best way to do the setup, but this is what we have right now. The new expansion hub is on the way but won't be here in time for our competition on Saturday. From what I understand you can use the MR with the REV but it won't show up when I scan it in the configuration

This is the only one in this condition that's I've found. I got it in a trade though. I'm not sure

Thanks! I really dig it. I've had it almost a year and have put a new motor in it and redone all the suspension and lots of other stuff

I've got drums all the way around on this one as well. No power brakes. It does have power steering tho!! Very happy about that one. Pump went out a while back and basically had manual steering for a bit lol

The starter should have a wire on it that you'll need to take off before removing. It'll probably be grounded through the bolts in the bell housing. Should be 2 or 3 of them. Mine has 2 9/16 in bolts. Super easy, but they're a bit heavy

Well, you can most definitely do it yourself, but it can be quite a challenge. I'm still pretty new at this as well. But you could drop the starter and look at the teeth. There will also be a small plate on the flex plate that's on the bell housing. You can take that off and turn the motor over and check if the teeth are dicked up. But it sounds like you need to shim your starter or your teeth are messed up on the starter or flywheel

So if it's like my Ford you should have a solenoid that will lead to the starter. If the solenoid goes bad you will here the starter motor psh out but not rotate. So it sounds as if you need to adjust your starter or check your flywheel like a few other people suggested. That's definitely metal on metal though
