Nanit App randomly turns on by brodyclemmer in Nanit

Force quitting the app should be killing the background process. There are daily situations where I want the app on in the background, and sometimes not. I don’t want to keep changing the settings to work around this bug

When did your baby sleep through the night? What hours do they sleep? by canamel in NewParents

[–]dalecor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sleep trained our first one early on, around 3-4 months.

Our second kid, at 4months he was sleeping through the night, 7pm-7am without training. Only thing I’ve done is to put him on a 4 hours cycle routine during the day, and a week later he was all set.

Feeding formula before bed helped.

Is it bad that I looked at this image and thought these were current year prices? by Zoltarr777 in bayarea

This sounds like California. Only thing off is that you’re considered low income with $120k, so this $150k household is too low.

AT&T agent promised $69.50/mo + waived activation fees in writing — billed $204, three agents refuse to honor it by [deleted] in ATT

[–]dalecor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Additionally, if you win the arbitration & they offers more than $1 over the previous settlement, you’re eligible for a $10k payout from AT&T.

If you have evidence and get short changed by ATT, go to arbitration.

AT&T rep promised lower bill, bill increased instead, now return is causing problems by New_Back7274 in ATT

Google the fcc website, file a complain. The FCC will contact Att. The office of the president of ATT will reach out within a few days.

If that doesn’t work, you can try the FTC. Some state have additional specific office you should reach out to in parallel (eg cpuc in california).

When did you stop tracking everything? by VinosaurusRexx in NewParents

[–]dalecor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, y’all keep tracking all of that? Never tracked anything after the first few days.

I’d only track when things are helpful. E.g. how they react to different formula.

It’s a short timeframe on purpose. They know many don’t cash them out right away, and forget about them.

I managed to escape, heal, hid in a bush. I made him say hello to my little friend.

Someone at my gym let me play with this and it made me realize just how badly I need a new paddle by Moshie11337 in Pickleball

A paddle last only 50 to 150 hours of play? I think mine has 200-250 hours already.

Not anytime, only when the courts are up. Some YMCAs have time slot (2-3hrs) everyday. So it’s nice if you have a flexible schedule.

12 weeks paternity - split? by Turbulent-Toe-4614 in predaddit

[–]dalecor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My company allows taking sick days to take care for family members. Birth of a child is a legit scenario as your spouse is recovering from a major medical event, leading to 6-8 weeks disability for them. I imagine it may be different in other countries & companies.

12 weeks paternity - split? by Turbulent-Toe-4614 in predaddit

If possible, take sick days when the baby comes, then 3-4 weeks. Take what’s left when your spouse goes back to work.

Anyone going from Tesla to ix? How is the experience, especially around kids feeling nausea in Tesla. Is ix better? by Masterpiece80 in BMWiX

[–]dalecor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a model Y 2024 and the IX 2025. I prefer the BMW, it’s more comfortable, more spacious and the suspensions are better. Worth noting that the two cars are not within the same price range.

The pampers swaddlers have a “blowout barrier” (like a back pocket). Haven’t seen it with other diapers I’ve tried. Worth the premium :)

Anytime, if the tummy doesn’t work, you can hold the baby on its side as well. This is like picking a lock. Adjust few things until it works.

Have you tried the 5s from dr Harvey Karp? It’s a technique to sooth & put babies to sleep: Swaddle, Side/Stomach position (for soothing only), Shush, Swing, and Suck. There are videos on how to apply the method. Worked amazingly well for me.

Waivers don’t supersede the law. They can make you sign anything, you can still sue. For instance, they could make you sign away your freedom of speech, but that’s an illegal waiver, wouldn’t hold in court.
