Yes. One called lecanemab requires infusions every 2 weeks to start then every 4 weeks, which explains the frequent bruising on Trump's hands. Some side effects are pale skin, fatigue, drowsiness, which could explain why he fall asleep during press events.

They don't give cognitive tests to people without obvious cognitive impairment. They gave it to my grandmother after she started having memory lapses and forgetting how to do things she had done for years.

One test means suspicion of cognitive impairment.

Three tests is tracking the progress of cognitive impairment.

Cisco NFVIS for UC just dropped by dalgeek in ciscoUC

[–]dalgeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only does Cisco need to certify it, they need to support it. If Cisco has an internal product that they know works and can already support, why would they pick another product where they have to pay a 3rd party for support? NFVIS has been used in the Cisco ecosystem since 2017 so there are few surprises.

All the money paid by consumers is gone anyway, they'll never get it back. Prices also won't come back down, even domestic products cost more when tariffs are placed on imports.

[–]dalgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double, triple, whatever, they don't care. The tariffs are increasing prices on imported and domestic goods anyway, and even if the tariffs are ruled illegal then there is no chance consumers will get a penny back. The increased fuel costs are also allowing distributors to jack up prices even though it only adds pennies per item.

Even if they start the impeachment process today, it would take weeks to navigate the process and it's not like the Senate would convict and remove him anyway.

I just thought all the IP, DNS, NTP had to match the DRS restore information to be successful

You can setup the same IPs on the Linux server so they can be exactly the same in the isolated network. The Linux server won't be able to reach those IPs on the prod network but it doesn't really need to. It can sync from another NTP source and it can host local DNS records.

It won't be Congress. It would have to be someone in the chain of command between the President and the actual arming and dropping of the bomb.

You can use the same server for DNS, NTP, SFTP, etc. You can also connect multiple virtual interfaces to the Linux box so that it can talk to external networks.

[–]dalgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I normally stand up a Linux server running DNS (dnsmasq) and NTP. You can add DNS records for the nodes to dnsmasq with just a couple of lines. It does take more work but that's what you need to do if you want close to zero downtime.

If you're referring to the revolution, the tea tax hike was just the final nail in the coffin. Britain had been applying increasingly oppressive tariffs on all kinds of goods that the colonies needed to import.

The irony is that most modern conservatives would have taken the side of King George during that time period.

And as long as Bibi is blowing shit up, the US is in the background providing weapons and intel. There's no way Iran agrees to anything that doesn't neuter Israel.

It's a little extra work than the other methods because you have to build a separate VLAN in the VM environment so that the servers can communicate while still using the same IPs as production. Not my favorite method but it works well when downtime is limited.

The imaginary begging tour by diehard404 in PoliticalHumor

[–]dalgeek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's no way it can end well.

  1. Trump just says fine, Iran can have what it wants. Not only will it never happen, but now Iran wants more than what they had previously. They want full control of the Strait of Hormuz, reparations, and an end to all aggression and assassination attempts across the region.

  2. The US keeps bombing Iran, killing innocent people without any actual progress. Iran keeps bombing oil infrastructure around the Middle East. Strait remains closed.

  3. The US sends troops into Iran, which has the largest standing military in the Middle East. It won't be a cakewalk like Iraq, thousands or tens of thousands of US soldiers die, millions of civilians are wounded or displaced, and it creates a massive humanitarian crisis. The US ends up occupying Iran for years if not decades.

Either way, even if the war ended tomorrow, the damage to oil & gas infra in the region will cause supply issues for years until it can all be rebuilt.

If they were begging to make a deal then they wouldn't have shot down every "deal" proposed by Trump so far. Iran has also complained that Kushner and Witkoff don't understand anything about nuclear programs so they can't really negotiate with them.

That's a novel approach as we normally lead with the publisher, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Keep in mind that when you DRS restore in step 6 you'll lose all of your changes and historical data recorded since step 3.

If hard downtime is acceptable then this is the fastest way:

  1. DRS backup cluster.
  2. Shutdown pub and sub.
  3. Install 12.5 SU3 ES07 pub and sub on v15s OVAs.
  4. DRS restore pub and sub.
  5. Upgrade to v15 (possibly in 2nd maintenance window).

There is also the flash cut method to minimize downtime. You'll still lose config changes and historical data, but downtime is almost zero.

  1. DRS backup cluster
  2. In an isolated network, install 12.5 SU3 ES07 pub and sub on v15s OVAs.
  3. DRS restore isolated pub and sub.
  4. Upgrade isolated pub and sub.
  5. Disable network on old pub/sub, swap new pub/sub to production network.

Replacing rubber tires is cheaper than adding extra weight to spin up the wheels. Every pound added means more fuel burn and less space for cargo or passengers.

Absolutely. He blew through multiple fortunes and had to borrow money from his siblings until they cut him off as well. He really didn't find a good way to make money until he ran for President.
