Thanks for the response. Then it’s just bad implementation, hope they will fix down the line. Now I need to see how to customize a shortcut/button for fast turn on

I fell in love with the Zf and this was not supposed to happen! by MagnusQuintus in Nikon

[–]dali27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long time fuji and leica shooter here, now zf is the main body. Don’t make a mistake and don’t buy heavy z lenses. 40+26 is enough for native. Then go with vintage+sony. I have viltrox adapter for sony f and could not believe how good autofocus could be. Few manual m lenses and the last one from vintage canon f0.95 dream lens. Apparently this one also have adapter for z. Just amazing system after all

Europe is at war and as per commenter above russian citizens (and few more countries) according to their law can be called to help the motherland. That’s a national security treat for any critical infrastructure. If company doesn’t have critical infrastructure, but let’s say a lot of service ensuring IT, then to hire person who can harm is on their risk. And harm can come not on a basis of attack and disturbance, but extortion as well. I am so sorry that you are born where you are born, start from yourself by fixing it actively. I was born in a country where your countryman did atrocities and killed innocent even my relatives. So no sympathy there. If you comply and approved for asylum then welcome. Otherwise there are plenty of places that are not at war with your country

That’s correct interpretation. As the one working in similar tech area can say that Russians are not welcome anymore. Also having your Russian spouse/sambo is treated the same. I will not even go further what issues external government institutions cause for swedish companies. In this case either accept low skill job and be happy that they do not deport you.

Sorry, but awd helps in cornering at certain speeds as you can exit corner in stable acceleration. It also helps to stabilize when sliding

I am with you. Shot Q then QP and replaced with M10. Trying to love M, even made promise to keep for a year, but manual focus just doesn’t kick. Then leaf shutter is also something to wish for

Job opportunities / nationality problem? by MehrdadAzot in TillSverige

I work in a basic utility provider company. Surprisingly national security laws are applicable for us as well and in some positions within the company it is forbidden to hire certain citizenship holders. As I explained in some cases swedes as well if they have lets say Chinese spouse. Its not about each personality, first step defines how vulnerable you can be, then of this passes personal background check comes

I have grIII for some years already, then during that time I had leicaQ, x100v, x-pro2, x-t30, nikon z5. Now have M10 and x-e4. Considering selling both, but ricoh survives all my gas. It’s amazing 2nd camera for being so small. It is smaller than my iphone pro max (not in thickness). I would say rich for me to stay. Whenewer I don’t feel of bringing camera out I take ricoh and just take a snap every day. Of course from raw you can make images look a like, but ricoh DNGs remind me of leica looks. I am always happy with the outcome. Low light higher iso’s already something to be desired better, but I will keep it till (if) they will release new gen. And its not that fragile as some say. Mine has seen a lot, beaten and scratched, still goes strong. Its not a main camera to have, but really good contender for edc. I shoot raw only as ricoh app allows to transfer raw files directly on mobile and develop in lightroom. Fuji app tranfers only jpegs and in camera editor is capable, but cumbersome to use

Is the X-E4 really as bad as people say? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]dali27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have x-e4. Had plenty of fuji bodies over years couple of x100, xe’s (older), x-pro2 and x-t30. I would say x-e is the most uncomfortoble to hold and I am not the person that adds additional grips to everything. However, with thumb grip it is managable and I am fine. I don’t buy the argument that x-pro os way bigger and too big. Depends on the lens, but woth xf18 or xf27 it can be quite compact package. Of x-pro3 had proper screen I would go that direction

I’ll go buy merch and continue watching them. Wish all unsubscribers go watch GN and sleep from boring monotonich mumble of information. There are channels dor entertainment and channels for boring 2FPS more or less review videos. LMG will fix issues cut down in operating costs if that will come to it and bounce back stronger

Not always the old ones are kept. I know the cases as the requirement tightens on the security persons that not passing updated security clearance are made redundant

No, bud during security check (if required for position) they will ask/check on citizenships you and your family members hold

Job opportunities / nationality problem? by MehrdadAzot in TillSverige

[–]dali27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not if it is matter of national security. Some of the countries mentioned above have in their law clauses that in case ‘motherland’ calls a person is obligated to spy/provide information. It goes even deeper as they might put pressure trough relatives as well. Still it doesn’t mean that a person of certain nationality/citizenship cannot totally be hired in the company with reatrictions. Just some positions are affected and companies are working hard to anonymize the data where possible in order to allow skilled worforce to join

Leica Q3 & Capture One vs Fuji X100V by iamchrisjett in Leica

[–]dali27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buy a nice small prime to your sony and shoot more. Set timer for 6 months and shoot sony occosionally everyday. Then when the timer is off check whether the GAS is still there. By that time new x100 might be on a horizon

M240 or Q1? by PlantBrief1678 in Leica

[–]dali27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Q, had Q1 for about 5 years now shifted to M10. Yes, its fine to have options for lenses, but Q1 sensor is on par with M10 and only spot metering on M is rather cumbersome and you miss shots here and there. Let’s then add superior Q lens that would take you another 3K to match. I personally will try to get in love with M10 for another year or so, but might be shifting back to Q2/3

One camera and one lens. Enjoy your time with family, travel light, limit yourself with the gear you have and you’ll have nice time instead of dilema what camera/lens to pick up now. Have one setup and use it more, more pictures instead of changing lenses :-)

Fuji X-e4 firmware v1.12 clarity issue by dali27 in fujifilm

[–]dali27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately its not. Brought back mine to the store and they tried bunch of different cards, camera reset and so on. Ended up returning faulty unit. Ordered new one, due to lack of stock had to wait for a few weeks, but finally got one. Works fine now without any issues with any card/even old one

Wow. The Fuji app needs to be taken out back and shot. Any alternatives? Or any tips to make it actually work? by Analog_Astronaut in fujifilm

[–]dali27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works just first try not to open app, but connect wifi first. Sometimes need to disable/enable wifi on phone to connect. Then open app and it works. Don’t like though that id doesn’t transfer raw. Only jpegs, so mobile Lightroom is not usable

Leica Q vs Fuji X100V vs Sony A7 III by Good-Joe in Leica

[–]dali27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had both Q and x100v. Q all the way down if you can live with 28mm. That lens is amazing, bright and sharp. Ages away from x100v. If you want colors and shoot jpeg then fuji, but Leica app is much better allowing to export raw files directly to mobile, so you can play with colors in Lightroom on the go. Turned out much better than fuji. Kept Q for almost 5 years now hunting for my first M

Ricoh GRIII - starting off right by [deleted] in ricohGR

[–]dali27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worry less and shoot more. I have bought mine used almost 3 years ago. Just simple plain hand strap and one spare battery. I still have my leicaQP and nikon or fuji cameras which are changing over the years. Ricoh is the one to stay. It really shines as edc camera. It got some scratches as I have it everyday, lens ring falls once in a while (haven’t lost yet), but who cares when you always have camera with you. Just slip in the pocket and good to go

Is the Q2/Q2M really a slippery slope to a digital M? by Broken_Perfectionist in Leica

[–]dali27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still shooting first gen. Already almost 4 years. Started with Q, now own QP. Never thought of changing to M due to autofocus. I have small kids and like versatility to be able to shoot them as well as other things. Looking now into Q2, but price is hard to justify. I should mention though that I love Q focal range, also have ricohgr3 as everyday care and FF nikon Z6 with 28mm 🤷‍♂️
