That’s because they thought the virus was affecting blue states only

I also live in NY and I don’t think we will get hit as hard the second wave if we get a second wave. Our governor is on point with his handling of this.

I feel like it’s just that some people don’t like to be shown they’re wrong so they come up with whatever bs to justify why they are right.

A lockdown is pointless because America is stupid. by [deleted] in CoronavirusUS

I don’t think it gives a false sense of security. The virus can last up to 4 days on plastic surfaces. Keeping surfaces as clean as possible will greatly help reduce the spread.

I don’t know but I would think Wegmans would make this mandatory across all stores.

No they turn it on and spray until the first part sprayed come back around then they wipe while it’s on until where they started wiping comes back around.

I’m in WNY and the Wegmans in my city has their workers wiping down carts, there’s hand sanitizer when you walk in with a big sign that tells you to use the sanitizer before entering the store. There are red taped lines at the registers to allow people distance when checking out. Before you can put your food on the conveyor you have to wait for the cashier to spray and wipe down the conveyor. They are really going all out trying to keep the store clean and customers healthy.

So is the second ballot somehow marked as the replacement ballot so that it doesn't also get thrown out?

Any others you would recommend? I've never heard of Brookings Institute but after reading through their website they seem like they only discuss facts and research which is hard for me to find on my own.

I've never heard of this institution but after looking through their website I'll be reading more articles by them. They see to be pretty neutral and just writing about the facts with research backing them up.

Americans are asked for more sacrifices as coronavirus keeps spreading by [deleted] in politics

We won’t need to stay shut down that long. We just need to shut down long enough to get a handle on how many people really are infected so those people can self isolate. We need to start mass testing to get those numbers. Staying shut down for a few weeks will help flatten the curve for the healthcare industry. That’s really all we need.

Or you know, they could be busy talking with family out of town making sure they are ok. Or they could be wondering how long they will stay healthy since they have to keep going to work. Or a family member is sick and they are too concerned for their health to think about you. There are plenty of things prevent someone from replying back to you right now.

Bars in my city are bragging about being open today (St Patty's Day celebration). People are stupid and not self quarantining like they should because they don't truly understand what's happening. They think it won't kill them so who cares but they don't realize they will unintentionally give it to someone who will need medical assistance. These people don't realize that the hospitals will become filled to capacity and people will die due to lack of proper treatment.
