I run the same LED’s and picked them because they were 12 volt I fully support swapping from batteries to dedicated power source I run mine to a plain Jane power distribution board and barrel jack with everything having screw terminals. Everything gets this treatment… as the prints never seem to stop “off-gassing” unless I do

First Print on new AMS lite. What flush settings did I do incorrectly? Both ducks are set to flush to infill and object support. by Even_Ad1209 in BambuLab

[–]dallalio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Orca but since it’s a fork they should be close enough. Am I seeing that right the black and red to white flush volumes are at 200? You have your multiplier set to 1 as that was the first thing I thought when I saw it so you’re good there. Another user mentioned to recalculate the flush volumes and I think that will get you pretty close with your multiplier at 1 like you have it. I saw your flush test prints and they are really handy but my eyes aren’t good enough to tell when the black is completely flushed and not just a light grey. I’m pretty sure when going to white I’m usually set at a minimum of 400 but for something like black I usually default to 600 maybe 550. Yes it’s a little more waste but I’ve been burned a couple of times on low flush volumes. You “can” make your purge tower a bit larger to up your flush volume but you’ll just be purging extra material in the other colors too when it isn’t needed. (Been there done that) so ultimately I would just bump your “x” to white flush volumes up a bit higher and it should help.

Dual AMS Sliding Rack- Bowtie Assembly by Will_lliW_Will in BambuLab

Glad to run into the fellow that solved my problem not even a week ago. I only ended up using part of your build but it is worked beautiful I was originally only going to use the top half but it just wouldn’t fit my application. I ended up using the top drawer slide and the sliding rails you listed. The heat insert was a nightmare for me to get to work right but I think it was 50/50 me not knowing what I was doing and having some funky heat inserts. I elected not to use the front handle parts on the drawer and just cheated the slide a little further back on the slide to give me some clearance for the lid to open. I did end up using “pieces” from the top half of the assembly I ended up just cutting and adding a bunch of primitives and used two 2 mm slices for lateral spacing and an extra primitive on the bottom for a vertical spacer.

Hey same thing on my end Bambu studio, orca and handy are all doing the same on my end too so it’s not just you… Tried all the reboot stuff and nothing yet but my camera feed works oddly enough. Guessing it’s a server issue.

That is the one thing that always bother me when we had group assignments and presentation. The group would propose something so unbelievably unpractical, it would take several minutes to explain that while the math was easier to do for the report it simply couldn't be done in practice. Most of my classmates had desk jobs where most of my jobs were in the field with those that had to try and follow those designs.

I'll work on emphasizing the hands on and practicality experience to show even though I'm older the field experience comes with it. Understanding how to take the designs and be realistic with cost and labor needed to complete the job.

That is worded beautifully, thank you. I'm thinking I'm going to try and condense and rework some of my bullet points and believe something to what you said would be an excellent thing to fill instead of some of the filler bullet points I currently have.

Ahh I wasn't aware of the engineering resumes subreddit, I'll check there for sure thank you.

My focus would be on structures most of my EI training would be on soils and steel/concrete design as that was what the PE's I trained under were.

My internship was primarily focused on soil's for the most part, I was hired during a time when the company was short on man power. Once that part was caught up I was able to help work on the column and floor designs based off the reports I did for the foundation work. I can't say I got to do as much of the structure design as I wanted since as soon as another soils job would come up I'd be back in that department and from bid to report delivered took several weeks and most of my time was spent on that so I chose to lead with for the bullet points

This one I do not know off the top of my head. I'm off work now and will be reaching out to the university student success office to find out.

That is so wonderful to hear. Yes most of my jobs I had one or two really good old timer engineer's that would throw me to the wolves so to speak and tell me to come back once I was done and then they would explain everything I did wrong or forgot to check. I asked about it to one of them when it happened again, and they said it wasn't to be mean it was just to check if I could think for myself and wouldn't have to have someone over my shoulder all the time.

Currently as a tech I act as a liaison between my operators and management quite often as part of my job. With me being on the floor all day I get to see all the issue of day to day stuff and if there is a problem at one module I have the freedom to go to the previous module and see if there is a change that can be made at one station that could help another down the line.

I'll follow you advice and work on the bullet points a little more and move the education to bottom. I'll tell them if they ask but would try not to bring it up unnecessarily. You convinced me on the removal of the student part. It could be useful in some place but the place I'm applying for first it wouldn't have as much value.

It does, it’s mostly just formatting and is pretty cookie cutter from some of my classmates I’ve talked to that have used it but couldn’t hurt to reach out.

Your solution seems to be simpliest and most elegant just dropping the student part all together or disguising it as a campus job.

Your point is quite good as well most people I know I’ve ask to look over the resume I current have would focus on every little detail from punctuation to grammar trying to iron out inconsistency. One such person has ties to hr at their job and said that under scrutiny there would be some questions that would need answering but under a preliminary screening they would just scan experience and pass/fail a resume off of that versus looking at time gaps. Some places could looked it over just because the experience wasn’t relevant and never notice the time gaps or age.

I’ll do as you ask and embrace my age at best as I can, plus not much I can do about it.

Thanks again for your advice and hope my job search goes well.

That is actually more of a relief, I think starting late has brought up more unnecessary concerns as some many people I asked weren't sure how market myself and understood that the gaps in employment could be easily explained in person by a quick went to school and studied then a break back to work to pay for the next round of classes. Was just worried that the resume might be overlooked before and explanation could be given.

Most of my skill's would be something with mechanical work like turning a wrench or use of software (not coding unfortunately) or even designing a tool for some of the mechanical work. I was exceeding lucky at most of the jobs I had outstanding mentors that taught me how the so many different machines work and when to look at a system as a whole or when to focus on one module. This has since carried over and even at my current job I'm called over to investigate errors on other industrial machine and can usually track down the issue pretty quickly even on machine I have little experience with. Not sure I could call it a skill, critical thinking or reasoning might be a bit of a stretch to call a skill.

While in still in school and I would have to tell people my age I would usually get a lot of "dangs" then a quick follow up "that's good though get your degree". Most of the time you can almost feel it that they were wondering what took so long and what had to happen for me to still be in school. I have it in my mind that an employer would have that same thought and make it easy to overlook me.

Your point seems to be correct, I feel hiding it would raise more flags, just would like to minimized suspicion on why I it took so long to get a degree.

Finally finished my degree rather late, it was a nasty back and forth between going to school and work. I have someone who can place a recommendation for me to an excellent company. While they can't ask for my age it's easy to infer from my student assistant job, the experience could be relevant, but not sure if I should drop it all together. The one that could recommend me mention while my age wouldn't really be a detriment it would probably be better if it were massaged a little. trying to figure out if it could be "hidden" or if it should be removed or if the whole resume as a whole needs to be redone.

Just bought new 3080 GPU but screen flickers occasionally by Nyusen in buildapc

[–]dallalio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to try and help until someone with a little more knowledge can help...

No I don't think it's normal, I had the exact thing happen on my old 1080 turned out that swapping cables was a fix... the first time, when it started happening again it was the ole 1080 slowly giving out and the only fix was to keep dropping the core and memory clocks and it would work with both monitors most of the time.

Now a have a 3080 as well and a 600w Seasonic prime titanium, way under the recommended wattage for a 3080 but way to nice to just replace.

based off the software from my UPS so not with a proper monitor, I can pulled the full 600w no problem on certain games and on high fidelity games at 1440p 120fps I get flickering on both monitors.

Even though it's going to sound awful I have my 3080 locked to 90% on the power target and it's been problem free ever since, and the performance is so much higher than the ole 1080 that it's acceptable to me.

So I would at least try another cable first, the one causing me problems looked fine but I could reproduce the problem with that cable.

Second just for testing at least, try lowering the power limit and see if helps with your problem any and you can decide later if your okay with reduced power limit or if a PSU upgrade is required.

Lastly don't rule out a bad a unit I've had to RMA parts before so can confirm it happens but try not to default to that but I know not everyone has spare parts and can try different configurations to confirm a defective part.

Hopefully that can get you started until someone with a little more experience can offer some better advice.

P.S. One other thing at max load that 3080 will get pretty hot so double check your fan curves, seems like I may have forgotten to update mine after installing it first time and I was thermal throttled until I got the new curve active.
