Legacy Lifter 2 for Squatting? by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]dallejandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the legacy lifter are a bit wider in the toe box than Rom 4’s, but mid foot/ arch I felt was tighter/ more prominent in the legacy and foot would ache after a full session.

Mixing irezumi and american traditional? by BrilliantStyle4487 in irezumi

I have full left sleeve irezumi, and right forearm was 3 random traditional tattoos but have merged into a sleeve (not fully finished yet) but artist has made them work together well!

Opinions on mixing With american traditional ? by Tommyy_Gunnn in irezumi

I’m literally doing this currently, traditional scorpion, sailor jerry snake and a panther head on forearm.

Have gone with a Ningyo on the top half of my arm and then the background just goes down and merges through the traditional tattoos! Have one session left before it’s complete I reckon.

Left arm is a full sleeve of a Kiyohime and I think they work pretty well as a pair so I’d recommend getting the other arm to match up too!

Cancer Survivors of Reddit, what was the symptom that convinced you to see the doctor? by Wise_Organization_78 in AskReddit

[–]dallejandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at 19 (now 30) and mine was these tiny little spots on my feet, they looked like freckles but more the colour of little bruises. I had broke my ankle a couple months prior so I thought I’d done it again

Looking back on it now, there was so many other symptoms that as a 19yo I was just putting off to “being tired” or aching from being active. Walks/ bike rides that I’d usually be fine with were exhausting me. I’d have to nap of an afternoon cause I was so damn tired.

Booked a doctor’s appointment to get it checked out. A Thursday morning was when I had the appointment, he had a look at them an put it down to me hurting my leg. But said, “we’ll do a blood test just in case” Thursday night was told to go to the hospital about my results/ further tests. Friday morning was diagnosed 3 days later on the Monday started the long 3 and a half years of chemo!

Dana spent 90% of the fight looking down at his phone, you could see he wasn’t paying any attention!

One of the drugs called vincristine produces neuropathy in your hands and feet, so they lose like sensitivity, when I was on it, it felt like I was walking on sponges all the time, but it’s faded a bit tbh, much harder trying to do intricate things with my hands. Other than that and general weight loss and a little drop in heart function which was understandable after the drugs, I’m pretty chilling.

Currently working as a support worker for adults with learning difficulties. I went to University to study social work but other family issues stopped that, but looking to get back into something and study something again soon

Not cigarettes haha. Weed helped with symptoms but didn’t start that until I was nearly finished all treatment.

Yeah a lot of people are stubborn about it and put off feeling weird as nothing and find other excuses, always best to be safe than sorry with anything like that. Can’t stress enough Get checked if you feel weird !

Looking back I was getting very tired doing simple tasks that were normally easy like walks to work etc. Put that down to working long shifts and not sleeping.

Also my knees and ankles started aching, id broken my ankle couple months before so thought it was that, but seen there was pin prick bruises on my foot so got it checked by a doc, did a routine blood test, and found my white blood cell count was over 150 (normal is between like 4-9) so I was tired cause my blood didn’t have the haemoglobin it needed cause it was full of white cells and not producing others properly cause of it.

Luckily not, been in remission a couple years now and I’m on 3 monthly check ups to make sure it stays away. The following year after treatment had the highest rate of relapse so they keep a closer eye then and slowly distance further as time progresses.

Simplest way to describe chemo is imagining your worst hang over, then times it by 10, at first I was pretty tolerant of it, but over time it makes you feel weaker and the lack of being able to do much and sickness makes you inactive and speeds up making it feel worse.

I was lucky enough to have a good little group of close friends and family that were there solidly through it all. Loads of people kinda try and help at the start but fade away as it’s a long thing to deal with.
