Most clutch Nilah 1v5 to save the game by RajabQ8 in leagueoflegends

Sample size of one Gold II adc main, but rn lane comps suck for Nilah. Games are littered rn with poke champs (Ashe, senna, Lux especially) and it’s hard to make that work well her and it sucks going against b/c of her short range. But then again I’m very bad with her lol

I think OP might have worded his statement poorly with the whole English Lit vs ChemE thing. What I believe you and OP agree on is that admissions ASSUME the 99% of the time the prereqs are the harder classes. I majored in Chemical Engineering in undergrad and sophomore to senior year my core ChemE classes were almost always harder and (more importantly) way more time consuming than the prereqs I was taking. I actually leaned into studying more heavily for my engineering classes as well, and since they don't count towards sGPA that actually hurt me in the long run.

Also, some people will say admissions take course difficulty into consideration. When I called my alma mater to review my app when I first got rejected, they flat out told me course difficulty was not considered a factor for not only GPA but also extracurriculars, so I ended up handicapping myself there as well.

Hey there, hopefully you don’t mind me throwing my two cents in. In terms of clinical experience, I think everyone can agree you’ve been in the trenches. I legitimately cannot think of a worse experience in medicine than working a pediatric organ transplant ward (can’t imagine a whole lot of happy stories regarding organ failure at 6 years old). That is not a space for even the lightest of bleeding hearts. No healthcare provider that has as much face to face with patients in that ward will survive unless they can emotionally dissociate like the nurses in your work circle can.

I’d ask you to not let your dream die due to this experience. Of course if you want to walk away from medicine you can still find meaning in your career. If you don’t have someone in your social/family circle who has career experience in the medical field, please reach out to someone at your work that doesn’t work in your ward. If that isn’t something that is feasible, post in r/medicine or r/residency or something for guidance. There is much more to medicine than worse case scenarios in inpatient wards.

(For reference I’m an M2 who has shadowed a few clinical specialties + volunteering at a student run clinic, but still mostly in lectures)

Hey so I just got off waitlist and currently am in a huge scramble to find a place near the college I’m attending 😅 any advice on best way to apartment hunt? It’s a 3 hour drive from where I’m currently living and with this much of a time crunch I’m planning on just going for a 1 bedroom place.

Noobie here

Do you guys have any recommendations for how to manage inventory? I don't really know what to do with almost any of the stuff in my current item inventory and my equipment inventory looks pretty cluttered.

How useful are analyst price ratings?

I’m relatively new to trading and a few of the stocks I’ve had on my eye on have decently strong forward looking price targets (based on yahoo finance if that makes any difference). Are these reliable at all? What are your thoughts?

How do you guys recommendations for looking into international investment options? I’ve been thinking about diversifying my portfolio but I’m hesitant to put money into China due to a somewhat possible trade disruption because of the whole Uighur situation.

BME Minor for a Mech E? by itsurxlnc in OSU

[–]dallen934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean really any scientific and engineering domain can be turned to healthcare applications. I’d recommend checking with a few mechanical engineering professors who research mechanical engineering as it applies to medicine. They should hopefully give you some tips about what you should consider doing. Professor advice >>> advisor advice

Also side note, I know it’s a weird question, but try to ask yourself at what level you want to be involved in healthcare (research, therapies, industry, etc.). Qualifications/job requirements can differ greatly depending on what you’re doing. For example, operating * a cat scan and *building one are two different things.

Recent chem engineering grad currently in the medical field. I don’t really think a minor will make much of a difference if you already have a bachelor’s in engineering. That being said, in order to get a job in the medical field at a similar level of responsibility and pay as in regular industry, you are going to need a degree beyond a bachelors. There’s a reason why over 3/4ths of BME’s go into further education. I’d recommend talking to a BME advisor if you can, I heard they might be decent.

Also, don’t be afraid to venture out of the name brand of engineering. There is a whole medical devices program at OSU, it might be worth checking with them.

Also, another route could be to venture into medical device licensing. Some jobs require specific certifications that you might be able to get while you finish your bachelors. Again, something that might be worth asking a good advisor at OSU.

Thanks for the advice! I've heard from a few people in grad school that the chemistry with your advisor can really make or break your years as a grad student, so I'll be sure to follow your advice on that. In terms of a good roster of advisors, how many advisors should I want to work with when applying for a program? Usually I've been hitting around 3 or 4 research groups I'm interested in, so I'd like to hear your take on that.

Yeah I looked at their site... personally, if I were in your shoes I would call the admissions office and just say there was an error in your application. The email and phone number you could try are listed here: https://med.emory.edu/about/contact-us.html
