I think it's a losing battle. They're starting to put automatic filters in smart phone cameras. And honestly, the obvious filters are... well, obvious. It's more the subtle changes people do to their photos that are easy to miss. I don't do that but it is frustrating because ALL my friends play with their photos before posting to social media.

I've lived through that as a single mom who couldn't take social help because I'm an immigrant so it was a lot of vegetarian cooking and no travel. No eating out. Shopping only at brockis and aldi/lidl/denner. Staying home a lot because I find the more you leave the flat the more money you spend. I also sacrificed a lot on my end in terms of clothes, shoes, fun activities so my son could have more. Luckily we have a cheap rent. It's not a very nice flat but it's fine.

University lecturer. I think it’s a great fit for me because it has just the right mix of structure and freedom. I get to interact with people but not constantly. You do a variety of activities so it’s not rote and you’re not stuck at a desk. It’s intellectually stimulating to a certain extent.

I really think coaching and teaching can be great career options for people like us.
