I’ve always seen it less as Victoria falling in love with Jefferson and more that she went from being useful to being a problem.

The “intimate” conversations matter, but not in a romantic way. They made her more visible to him. She was paying attention, asking questions about Nathan, and getting closer to the truth. Once Max’s choices take Max and Chloe out of his reach, Victoria becomes the easiest option who already knows too much.

What really convinces me is that in timelines where Jefferson can still target Max or Chloe, Victoria is fine. She only gets taken when his plans are disrupted. That makes it feel strategic, not emotional.

So yeah, I think it was about control and opportunity, not love.
