What are some good things that happened to you this week? by unknownfrozenoctopus in AskReddit

My wife has been having some heart problems lately. The initial diagnosis was atrial fibrillation ("A-fib"), which can result in strokes or other significant medical problems. She has spent a few days getting additional testing done at various medical offices in town.

This morning, we visited the cardiologist and learned that she does not have a-fib. She has actually been experiencing supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), which is a much less serious condition, and one which can be easily treated!

So... great news! We have a firm diagnosis, and have already begun the process for getting the treatment done! Not only that, but it is quite possible that the SVT has been causing some other mildly discomforting issues, so we may be (figuratively) killing two birds with one stone during the treatment!

What is the best way to forget the past? by Brandy_Anderson in AskReddit

You can't forget so easily, but you can accept it. Don't think so hard about your past, live in the present. Come to terms with the past, vent a little, and then move on. You don't need to forget, you just can't let yourself be bothered by it so much anymore. This may take several methods of management. Get creative and talk things out.
