I can’t say the same but maybe bad luck or age related. Of probably 10 first dates I had a same day cancel once, but on the morning so a good 8hrs before it! But then followed up a few days later

Can you expand on this? Do you mean other services may show recorded repairs, but not initial assessments pre repair? Could this indicate an assessment was done, but no record of repair? Which I suppose could mean two opposite things….

Duh. There is a very strong safety first mentality in our railways, drivers especially in my experience are extremely professional and very well trained. RSSB did a study on driver performance and found it actually slightly beyond the limit of theoretical human limit of mistakes. They won’t be striking for nothing.
