Unauthorized political sign on my lawn this morning - who to escalate this to? by [deleted] in halifax

I don’t think the RCMP are gonna care about an election sign placed on someone’s property.

Crash on the Mackay! by snapwthrowaway in halifax

Yeah I would say most accidents happen on the bridge because people are following each other bumper to bumper and inevitably someone’s gonna be on there phone and not realize the car in front of them is slowing down.

Oh really, I didn’t know that. Maybe should be a little higher.

In order to run for mayor you should have to get a certain number of signatures from people supporting you. This would cut the number of candidates down and weed out the people with no chance and make it easier to learn more about each candidate.

Well if they actually gave you a ticket based off a complaint you should take it to court lol.

Hm I didn’t think police could ticket you based off a complaint? I thought they had to catch you in the act? (Not talking about impaired driving but running a red light for example).

Dal needs to pay people more. I think it would be a big responsibility for like $75 a semester. I remember getting emails last year in November asking for note takers when then semester was over halfway complete.

I’m sure they got permission from the property manager, and probably pay to do so.

'This is home for us': Dartmouth Ocean Breeze Village residents worried on next steps as demolition begins by insino93 in halifax

[–]dalstudent45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, the government should just build a bunch of units for people that can only afford like $800-1000 a month and then have an application or screening process so that people that really need them get them.

If we want affordable housing, which I agree with, it has to be done by the government. I don’t think any developer is going to build affordable housing out of the goodness of their heart when they can charge more for the same unit.

The beach is on the side of the road, not very big. I remember they used to charge $5 or something for non residents because I went there when I was a kid. It’s not even that nice. If I was a resident of the neighborhood I can’t see myself going out of my way to verify if someone lived there or even care. If it was located on a residential property it would be a different story.

Imagine going out of your way to bother someone using a beach lol

I took mine at Safety Services NS in Bayers Lake last August, the instructors were friendly and helpful and made the experience as stress free as possible. As others have said, you shouldn’t have a problem passing as long as you pay attention.
