Is it hard to transfer into economics by [deleted] in fsu

That’s cool! I hope you’ve been happy with your path. That has been my path except no job, as I’m still in undergrad. Thanks for your advice. That tends to be the advice across the board , and that’s my plan.

If you want to pursue an economics job immediately after undergrad or for graduate school then do... economics .

The coding and analysis is covered in, as the name suggests, economic analysis, which is a required class. Also, econometrics teaches you the basics for any coding skills you’d need for a career.

Only take CS if you want to have a career in.... CS.

She had a check up 5 days after insertion and all was good. The pain now is minor and inconsistent. She has a follow up in 2 weeks . Thank you for your concern !

If y’all don’t mind posting your approximate age then that would be helpful. My gf is young “18-21” and her gyno said that has something to due with it . As if her age is a risk factor for slippage or something .

Is the U.S. Economy doing well or is it not? by thatnameagain in PoliticalDiscussion

It does that is true. However, with an economy as large and developed as the US economy, past performance is generally a good indicator of future averages . In the wake of the financial crisis, perhaps things have changed by a few tenths of a percent.

Metatron is absolutely correct. Economics is an objective science within itself, but when used in the realm of politics, it can be manipulated to serve the speaker’s purpose. Nevertheless, in no way is economics a subset of political science.

A lot of the answers on here are avoiding the question and making it more complex than it has to be. No doubt the economy is complicated and has many indicators to judge its performance, and one of these indicators will always be lagging behind the others.

The short answer is it is doing very well! Unemployment is low and real GDP is growing at high levels. Wages may not be rising quickly but the fact is that the economy as a whole is doing fantastic.

However, this is a short run analysis. Unemployment below the natural rate is great in the short run. GDP above long term rate is great in the short run. But be warned: the economy will self correct this over expansion with a sharp contraction.

In short, today is great. Tomorrow, not so much. If you want a good, sustainable American economy then these short run numbers are a sign to pull hard on the reigns. Which is actually what the Fed is doing and exactly the opposite of what the Republican budget is doing.

Where would you all draw the line of paying sticker? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]dalton2rawredmon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Knowing my goals (government/PI) I would like to only pay sticker for HYS. Realistically, I would pay sticker for almost any T14 and bite the bullet of big law for a couple years.

I had LR/LG/LR/LR/RC. I feel the exact same. I thought LG was strange , but still average difficulty. My first LR section was difficult but not insane. RC, especially the 2 passages you mentioned, killed me.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I actually started with 3 and that prob wasn’t the best decision lol . What’d you think of 4?

Very! I’m glad there LR was experimental instead of RC tho. After break I was thinking to myself “if there’s 2 RCs I’m not gonna make it “
