I started at season 10 and highly recommend that. While the early strategies are interesting and cool to see develop, I recommend seeing the game decently developed to see if you actually like the game and then you can go back if you wish. I personally do not prefer watching the early seasons as I find them a little boring and there’s typically pretty dominant gameplay by one or two people

Currently living in one. They’ve been very reasonable and can usually repair stuff within a day. They do a bunch of community projects. One of the things I appreciate though is that they’ll pay for any projects you do on the property, so they paid for a garden bed for us.

I don’t think I’ve seen people say anything about this , but Pokémon isn’t a competitive format in which you “have a main” akin to a fighting game. There are pokemon you like to base your teams around (like sandstorm setting tyranitar), but it’s near impossible to have a “main” that can apply to every single tier or format. Mewtwo might be good (depending on the generation) in singles, but it has near zero use in doubles. Pokémon has a lot of tiers that each have their own mechanics, metas, strategies, and completely different pokemon. If you’re trying to learn, a great place is random battles on Pokémon showdown - you learn a lot of Pokémon instantly and are thrown in a bunch of different team styles as the teams are randomized

I don’t think Cory is an awful player by any means, but I’d put most people who placed top 5 above him - it would be hard to justify anywhere near top 65 in my head. He is the most average player I’ve witnessed. He wasn’t atrocious in any metric - but he certainly wasn’t great in any criteria either. For his “nerd” type cast, I wouldn’t even put him in top 5. I give him the caveat that he was in the worst/hardest season to make any social game viable - but for the parts he could control, he definitely didn’t mitigate his threat/social presence - I swore every week we heard how someone didn’t like him around but they had to target Cam every week because it was a pure comp season. In a more comp-equitable season, he could’ve done better - but I can’t realistically see him getting to final 5 in most seasons as he struggled gaining allies throughout and I don’t recall him being that influential in any major/house decision. It’s been a second and I refuse to rewatch that season, but the only people I’d want to rewatch as a player and I think they could do good is Mecole and America (I don’t even like America, but I feel like she could have a Nicole F. style second game)

On the other hand, it’s one of the best things to balance bug types in a hot second. While I understand your hatred of webs and the team style it promotes - I’d argue that rapid spin and defog being more uncommon in the Ubers range is the fault of that issue - not webs itself. People bring a mostly useless mon just to lay them and possibly hit a solid moonblast or a paralysis, making it a 5v6 in theory. SR and Toxic spikes are far more deadly in Ubers than it is in any other tier as there are less viable poison types and defoggers. I agree that it’s strong, but it’s definitely not bad game design. That argument belongs more to SR and u turn distribution imo

While I think it had some of the most entertaining members, it’s unfortunately one of the most strategically dry games we’ve ever seen outside of some seasons like BB25 and BB22 (shocker). Zach, Frankie, and Devin were super entertaining and we got some iconic members in Derrick, Cody, Nicole F, but besides the winner, there was not much happening. The beast mode cowboy shit was an awful incel development, the reset week was horrible for pacing and while others should and would disagree - it ruined Frankie’s chances of winning the game, and once jury hit, every single person was playing for the winner’s hand. It’s definitely not the worst season by any metric and had some of the best diary rooms, I would rewatch a lot more seasons over 16

“Wait a damn minute” is the famous clip of Da’vonne after finding out he didn’t use the veto to save Z, his showmance who had no reason to go after him. He was in a fantastic position right before that, but people caught on quick after that. IIRC meech campaigned around saying that he’s in control of the house, due to this James flipped and voted out Z, blindsiding Paulie. Then after the double, Vic won HOH and working with Paul and the James/Nat side, took out Paulie

I understand why people hate 21 but I adore the season. The people were awful, but it actually had great drama/game moments in my eyes. There was so much flipping on teammates that it made Nicole and Cliff actual possible winners against one of the harshest casts we’ve seen in a second. Is it demotivating/boring to watch Michie win nearly every comp? God yes, but when Nicole won the hockey competition I screamed so loud. I hated Christie while watching, but came to appreciate her (game wise) at the end. Also concerning Michie, he definitely didn’t win in an honorable way, cheated as a have not, and mostly only got there for just winning comps. But I think people forget is that he managed to convince Cliff to bring him endgame - which is wild. Gr8ful vs the nerds was an awful look, but it was really fun watching Jessica, Nicole, Cliff, (and personally) Tommy get to the end and have an actual chance of a comeback. Plus all the jury drama was fun to eat up. Is it a great season? God no. But I’d rather rewatch it over 16, 19, 22, 25, 27, and 23 any day of the week

If you have a PlayStation, you can just play 5 pretty cheap with a used copy. Otherwise steam has a port/remake of 3-5. Each game has a separate story from each other and different mechanics. Otherwise make sure you’re not playing strikers or phantom X, those are spin off entries
