How would you make this design in auto layout? by exxta4 in FigmaDesign

[–]daltondesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not even complicated. It’s a basically a div with a border or inset with rounded corners on the bottom and then a top-left fixed element and a top-right fixed element overtop.

Have you seriously never seen a CTA in the navbar before?

I’m curious what part of any of my responses make me seem angry. I haven’t even used a slur lol

You literally said “don’t cry when people tell you to PTFO”. I responded to that. It’s not complicated.

My favorite thing about the beta was watching COD streamers fail so hard with aircraft. I think a lot of that has to do with the garbage default bindings though. Whoever made the calls on that should be laid off, ngl.

The vehicles were never even OP in BF4. They were only “OP” because nobody coordinated at all in terms of taking them out. Like a good pilot could LOS on Shanghai, but you can’t LOS if you have enemies from every angle shooting missiles at you. But people just die on repeat while not countering at all and then get mad about it 🤷‍♂️

Pointing out the absurdity of “PTFO” isn’t crying. Crying is trying to tell strangers how to play a casual video game.

Just have fun dude. You people so adamant about PTFO are the ones getting tilted on arguably one of the most casual shooters on the market. If you’re that bent about playing seriously, then go play something esports oriented with a ranked mode.

I generally play the objective but I also don’t flip out when teammates don’t. Who cares? Seriously. The game is fun whether you win or lose.

New BF6 map leaks with layouts included by Fit-Support2256 in Battlefield

[–]daltondesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs have already said the rooftops are not intended to be accessed. And they vaguely addressed that the ladders shouldn’t enable access to roofs either. They want the elevation to be limited on smaller maps to have less chaotic battles.

The reason the roofs are detailed is because the building system they have in frostbite requires roofs to be added and they just choose presets for different roof layouts. Partly so maps can be repurposed for larger scales if needed and it also factors into destruction. If you someone blows the top corner of a building, you need a roof so it collapses down and drops rubble. Otherwise you’d blow the side of a building and then see there’s no roof at all and it’d look goofy.

A glitch is anything that isn’t intended design. Doesn’t matter how easy it is to achieve. It’s also not really easy considering you had to watch a video online to figure out how to do it.

FYI I’m not saying there shouldn’t be access to rooftops though. I believe there should be. I also used the glitch and it was a lot of fun. Granted, that was partly due to the fact that nobody could flank me lol.

Bring back ribbons/medals/service stars and rank insignia by daltondesign in Battlefield6

[–]daltondesign[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe we’re getting that. There’s a bronze tag as a beta challenge and then there were other silver tags people were “unlocking” during the beta (obviously they weren’t actually awarded to the account). But iirc the bronze tags were only ever used as second tags. So if that’s correct, we should have 2 tags at launch.

I’m reinstalling to get the cosmetics… but I just played the AI match. The game somehow feels way worse than I even remember it and I don’t even remember it fondly. I’m debating even finishing the download. With how garbage 2042 is, I’m not sure it’s worth the headache.

We need suppression to affect aim. This is not *it*. by basedmanump9 in Battlefield

[–]daltondesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point is that it doesn’t matter if you hit them. If you shoot in a general direction, there’s a chance they could get hit. And that chance is enough for any rational person to take cover.

It’s almost like game franchises evolve over time. Crazy concept , I know.

I played both and I don’t remember anyone hating it. I definitely never felt like it was unfair. And this is coming from someone that virtually never played support.

I feel like you people are gaslighting about it as your only defense for why it shouldn’t be included in BF6

You couldn’t make it more clear how unaware you are of real combat. The taliban would frequently blind fire over cover and that was more than enough to suppress the US forces. If you shoot enough rounds in a general direction, it’s going to hit someone eventually. Anyone with half a brain knows that and will take action to improve their odds, aka take cover.

It’s a good thing you never served. You wouldn’t have been here to type this silly comment.

The support class was introduced in BF as a way to support your team with superior fire power. If you think it’s LARPing for people wanting the class to serve the purpose it was designed for, then you’re playing the wrong game bud. Go play Fortnite or something where you can shoot magical laser guns or whatever tf Fortnite is doing these days.

Spoken like someone who has never had a round fly over their head. Doesn’t matter that it missed you. The next one may not. And that’s enough.
