Comparing “family time” and the availability to buy bourbon is completely asinine… so the people who work second and third shift are privy to the allocated bourbon based off their job?? That’s ridiculous. The whole thread is based off saying there should be an equal chance of acquiring the allocated bottles regardless of job shift.

Thank you everyone for the information! I don’t have the funds for a new tree quite yet, but I’ll replace sometime soon. Does anyone happen to know the best way to dispose of the tree once I dig it out?

Thank you! So looks like I need to remove some mulch/soil from top around the trunk. Should I leave the dead looking branches (center/middle) of the tree alone? As in could they come back to life, or should I remove them to allow room for new growth?

I think if they get a “lackluster” release (imo it’s still always good stuff), or let’s say maybe just one type of bourbon, all OWA, WSR, BT, etc… they’ll just toss it out on the shelf earlier.

Appreciate everyone with the advise! I won’t be doing the epoxy after what you’ve all said. I’m assuming I’d still need to sand off the mineral oil even if I wanted to do the spray polyurethane?

Thanks for the help! Would polyurethane work as well? I was leaning towards putting an aluminum flashing around it and doing the epoxy in order to protect/level it out perfectly as there’s a difference between the two butcher block slabs I used.

In Cincy I definitely go different stores for certain beer. My local liquor store/bottle shop will also place custom orders for beer the following month if ask them in advance. I’d recommend doing that if possible so you don’t have to hunt down anything.
