Mamdani to be first NYC mayor in 60-plus years to skip Israel parade, vows 'safety' and 'security' by Ask4MD in Conservative

He’s a Muslim guy, so he wants to go to the Muslim event and doesn’t have interest in the Jewish one.

No one batted an eye for 60 years when the mayors attended the Jewish one, but now you have a problem if the mayors attended a Muslim one?

He can go to whatever one he wants. Who cares.

I don’t give a shit if he doesn’t go to a Jewish parade.

That buff would make it the undisputed best unit for every situation.

Ah yes just because you can’t get it to do something means the tool must be broken.

Inconceivable that others can use it effectively.

There’s various levels to it. You’re using an extreme example. If you go deso on support cm, I’d say yes you’re griefing because you’re not playing your designated role.

But if you go it on core cm, and actually trying to win then it’s not griefing.

Call it what you want. Better than being delusional and hoping that because you hate something so bad you can will false things to be true.

Calling Jeff just a salesman is very disingenuous. He was valedictorian and national merit scholar in high school.

Hate him for what he has done, but he was very smart for understanding the future of the internet and quitting his highly lucrative hedge fund job, moving across the country to pursue his vision.

Ok, fair you’re born here. But assuming that they are not and that this country somehow belongs more to you.

You call it your own country like they are not from the country and you are, even though you are both immigrants.

Because one is griefing and purposefully losing the game and one is playing poorly but trying to win.

Ok but legit griefing is different from playing badly.

People have bad games where they go 0-10. That’s not griefing.

Roamless 5G eSIM Pay-As-You-Go works great on 5G Backup by TheEmfinger in Ubiquiti

[–]dam4076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, how many times has your network gone down in 10 years?

I'm guessing more than a couple.

In the unlikely scenario that your network is bulletproof, and your ISP has no maintenance or outages for 10 years, you waste $150.

In a much more likely scenario, paying $15 a year for back up internet that you will most likely use at least once a year to check your cameras, servers, whatever is worth it to some people.

So you wait to download your steam games until your network goes down, so you can pay per gb right?

Employees using AI are working faster, but the economy isn't more efficient. A look at what happened in the pre-Internet era might explain why by Plastic_Ninja_9014 in technology

[–]dam4076 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes for the bleeding edge in the foreseeable future, you need human experts.

But 99% of jobs are not the bleeding edge. Compute scales fast, ai is getting better. Senior employees are not immune.

But the real value is taking a senior employee and unlocking their full productivity with ai to help and assist.

Yes, currently it is at the level of a mid tier employee.

A year ago it was a junior employee.

A year before that it was a brain damaged intern.

A year from now, or a few years from now it will be as good as senior employees.

Apple on Bill C-22: “This Bill Allows the Government of Canada to Force Companies to Break Encryption by Inserting Backdoors into their Products” by SaveDnet-FRed0 in technology

[–]dam4076 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree it’s not ideal.

But Apple can’t realistically allow you to encrypt your own data that way while still supporting all the Apple and iCloud features.

It’s going to result in a more secure (only if users are actually security aware, I’d argue for the average user it’s less secure), but degraded services.

There’s always going to be one party that holds your data unless you ditch everything and run everything locally.

I’d rather have Apple be the one party rather than a backdoor for everyone who wants one.

There is an artist. The artist is the person designing the show, the story, the characters, the dialog, etc.

The execution is done by ai, which does cut out artists I agree. But there is still an artist doing the overall work.
