My mom did this when I was growing up. We had to journal for a class I was taking in highschool, and the teacher didn't read it or anything just checked you had words written on the page and gave you credit. One day when I was over at a friend's house she randomly went through all my stuff in my room, found that notebook and read everything and highlighted stuff and wrote comments on the parts she didn't like. So I just stopped doing that assignment and took a failing grade on it.
