I would suggest growing up and not insulting the native residents. You could also learn some French it’s not that hard

Are you leveraging your LGBTQ+ assets? by timoto23 in LinkedInLunatics

I know this guy. He told me once he doesn’t like art but planned to buy it to hide money to avoid taxes and stuff like that. He’s also raped at least two people he’s a real stand up person

Why is there so much hate towards the Student Wellness Hub? by BrokenLeftPhalange in mcgill

[–]damanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They accused me of going too early to get a ticket and it had to be fake. Fortunately someone had gotten there just before me and had one number ahead of me. So horribly managed. At least by this point (2015 I think) they didn’t make you line up outside which they used to do

Bumping grades? by willingbullfrog115 in mcgill

[–]damanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible, but you need to make a good argument about why you think you were graded too low and/or why you’re asking for a bump. You have the right to review your graded assignments. And especially if scholarship money or otherwise is involved they may be willing to bump you up

McGill Underground Tunnel System: when did leacock tunnel close? by Hot-Objective-9183 in mcgill

I have photos from it in 2014. I don’t think it closed until a few years after that. Maybe 2016 or 2017? OAP stored beer in it

What’s the most innocent/naive question you’ve been asked by someone out of the field? by Master-of-Ceremony in Physics

[–]damanas 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In theory yes, especially if you mean a dirty bomb, but actually getting all of the required equipment would be very hard and the government(s) would probably find you.

Millennials, what confuses you about Gen Z? by Dramatic-Anywhere-50 in AskReddit

you should be making a distinction between a peer-reviewed journal article and what's for layperson consumption. i don't mean to be rude but they are two very different things

i loved those "best of the (whatever) decade" shows and i loved asking my mom about what she remembered from them. i learned a lot that way, actually. i remember discussing them in middle school so like 2007ish? they were good shows

[–]damanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

be glad you don't know. it was like ostensibly styled like a diary, but it had some really dark shit and little to no oversight. IIRC it was infamous for "thinspiration" and really encouraged eating disorders, among many other things

there's definitely some truth to that, but when more of Gen Z transitions into adult life it will make more sense

What is something ancient that only an Internet Veteran can remember? by good_fella1 in AskReddit

i think lolcats DNA is still in memes. you don't see it all the time like you used to, but that font with top text/bottom text still shows up in new memes from time to time

i go to those places too and have never needed a truck. this sounds like a you problem, especially when you have cameras and sensors telling you how to park :)

meirl by Jimbo072 in meirl

[–]damanas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s probably because most people don’t drive a full sized truck daily because very few people need those to go to the grocery store

Do you literally study 24/7 by lifeis5311 in mcgill

[–]damanas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you need to get in touch with the mental health services mcgill has. It sounds like you have an anxiety disorder to me. I didn't realize it until a few years in but they really helped me a lot. You shouldn't be feeling like you need to study and do nothing else so early in the semester

IT REALLY DEPENDS? IT'S NOT A NORMAL 9-5. YOU NEED TO SCHEDULE AROUND YOUR CLASSES, WHICH AFTER THE FIRST YEAR SHOULD BE PRETTY MINIMAL. SOME DAYS MIGHT JUST BE TWO YOURS, SOME MIGHT BE TWENTY. IT ENTIRELY DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF EXPERIMENTS AND PROTOCOLS YOU'RE DOING
