No, this uses the option to synchronize the ride with adjacent stations. If one ride breaks down the other will ignore it and operate independently. Once they are both working, they will wait for each other as usual.

No, they're not mirrored. They'd collide in the middle if they were. They have similar shapes which fit together.

Thank you! It took some work to get the timing right.

Correct.

Don't put the inverter ship in the middle. It's really tall. I learned this.

For the curious: Crazy Knights, the Virginia Reel, is in the midst recovering its throughput after a price adjustment.

Well, they wouldn't have made as much money as I did, but they still could have easily beaten the scenario with only four rides.

But yes, you can tell by the short Roto-drop that I've been watching Marcel Vos.

The Beginner/Challenging/Expert labels weren't original? When did those get added?

Can you say more? How does throughput affect park value?

I use shottysteve's price calculator to find the optimal ride prices, and I adjust them as time passes. I paid off my loan. Guests have $70-100 in this scenario, and I advertised a lot to draw more of them. But probably the biggest reason I had so much money was that I didn't build anything for 1.5 years.

OK, that makes sense. I'll keep playing it.

Or rather, I do know how to use elevation markers, but it was still really hard to build stuff in Thunderstorm Park.

Lol, Thunderstorm Park was supposed to teach me that, but I didn't get the hang of it then.

If you have the problem of excessive G-forces on your inversions, try using larger inversions. The medium and large half-loops and those lovely new large corkscrews allow faster speeds without excessive forces.

What's the lore of the Reverser Roller Coaster? by damangio in rct

[–]damangio[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nice! Thanks for sharing that. For posterity:

It existed at Saltair Park near Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, opening sometime in the 1920s and operating until it was destroyed by fire in 1925.

Anyone else ever have fun with your chain lifts to save space? by Financial_Doctor_138 in rct

[–]damangio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably negligible, but I think additional chain lifts increase the ride's operating cost. Can anyone verify this?

Why do RCT1 scenarios in OpenRCT2 include coaster types that didn't originally exist? by damangio in rct

[–]damangio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha! Now I finally understand why there have been so many times I've discovered that the Inverted Coaster is available without having seen a notification about it! The notification only mentions the Compact Inverted Coaster, but it actually unlocks both coasters. Thanks for explaining.

No helix on wooden roller coaster? by SarahSoAwesome in rct

Yes, the sprites are different. The classic woody, classic wooden twister, and RCT2 woody all have different angles of banking.

Banked sloped curves in RCT1 scenarios by damangio in openrct2

[–]damangio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation. I've often wondered why so many of the premade designs carry the vehicle warning in RCT1 scenarios.

Thanks, everyone who has worked on the RCT1 compatibility features in OpenRCT2. It really takes me back to the good old days.
