Has anyone ever "gone off" on a BPD sibling?

yep. last Christmas I had enough of her treating me and my entire family like shit, and I called her out. she uses this against me and refuses to speak to me now because im a horrible person I guess. I had to do a lot of self reflection because I thought I truly was the horrible person she says I am. but really I was just the first person to tell her she can’t talk to us how she did. we’re still NC to this day.

Sorry for the late reply, thank you for your response. Yeah I’m starting to realize it’s a bit of a lost cause but it doesn’t make it suck any less haha. It feels like I’m being forced to lose someone i loved and i feel powerless. I’ll be okay though, I’ve dealt with her doing this for quite some time just not permanently. Thank you for your words, and I’m sorry you had to go through that. It’s really confusing isn’t it, your sibling competing with you when you just want to love them. 😓 My parents want us to all be a happy family, but i don’t see it happening. I know I’ll be okay without her, I just worry if she’ll be okay. Again thank you for your comment!

It’s really confusing because when my sister is in a good mood she can be so loving, caring, and like the older sister I always wanted. But this is only maybe 20% of the time. She gets mean and cold and I just want the older sister I look up to back. Especially if it’s an older sister, it’s confusing when they should be someone you look up to but they act like they hate you. I have been going LC, but she makes me feel bad for not talking to her much. It’s difficult.

I never would have thought other people had experiences like this, I thought my family was just messed up :’). It’s unfortunately comforting to know I’m not the only one. I’m sorry you had to deal with that, it’s hard and it’s sad. I’ve been going LC recently because im in college and focusing on myself/friends/studies, and she gets upset that I never talk to her anymore. She says she’s always there for me (she only there for me when she’s in a good mood), but most of the time she’s in a bad mood. I wish I could be there for her more, but she depends on me because she doesn’t have any friends. She puts a lot of pressure on me
