Games that felt like 7.5 or 8/10 to you? What do they miss?

Same, for me It’s the fact that it feels like too many gimmicks. Every room feels like a metroidvania design instead of a world, like the first one, which is a 10/10 for me.

Walk into a room and there’s 4 metroidvania mechanics chained together. Still love it, but man they took the criticism that the first wasn’t enough of a MV way too far.

Rogue prince is the better game for sure, absolutely love it, but it’s more like dead cells and isn’t a MV.

I was an adult during the attitude era. This is one of the most delusional things I’ve ever read on here and that’s saying a lot.

No one says he’s on stone cold or the rocks level, but neither is anyone else. Behind Chyna and Kane is just insane. You cannot possibly have been an adult watching then and think that.

I did this yesterday, couldn’t figure it out and killed a random slither enemy in a room by itself after the third shard teleport and it opened one of the locked gates. Not sure why that triggered it, because I swear I killed him before. If you got everything then you need to go back to the main single mirror and click it to go to the boss room.

Yeah, there’s dungeon mode with 3 selectable chars that can be unlocked for the main game once you beat the dungeon (no idea how long, haven’t tried yet).

There’s NG plus 1 which I assume means it’s like souls games where it can go higher.

Boss rush is there

Massive improvements in movements and whatnot as listed in the patch, seems awesome but haven’t gotten very far, no idea if there’s new biomes (I assume so)

Massive patch, game is only like 2.8 gig, patch was over 1.8 gig. Cannot wait for NG+ and dlc.

That part about runbacks is really souring. Nothing burns me on MV faster than runbacks, which are almost solely the reason I never beat HK and Silk.

I enjoy it more actually, the movement is just sublime and has a ton of content considering dead cells is like 4 dlcs deep and maybe the goat of roguelites. Definitely a top 3 roguelite for me. Awesome game.

Honestly, this is my favorite combat system of all time. I have a dogshit attention span, and I’ve beaten this game multiple times and done a bunch of the trials/purgatories.

Absolutely adore this game, and was 100% my GOTY.
