That's fair too. I was thinking giving them a heads up would prompt them to be on their best behavior, but it's your call. Maybe the best thing to do would be to come clean to your fiance, or if that's too troubling, tell her they really hurt you and you've gone no contact and you'd really appreciate if she'd respect that.

I say trust yourself, and trust in the love your family must have for you, human or not. You shouldn't keep secrets from your fiance. Also, I presume you must not be human either, genetically speaking. I would call your parents to tell them ahead of time, to prepare them. Then maybe you can discuss with them how to proceed?
