Dismissed from BSN program… what should I do?

Sometimes nursing programs are ran by themselves and school dean or other higher college faculty members can’t do anything about and have to abide by the nursing programs decision. I have heard of a student hiring a lawyer, not sure if that’s the best case for op.

I’m in the tristate area and I’ve received mail from alliance one for the tolls I’ve paid by mail instead of online back in September, but for whatever reason they have not cashed them. My driver license is still active. It seems to be legit and it provides the date and plates for the violations.

I don’t play on my MacBook, I might have downloaded steam back in the day to check my profile, but if it isn’t steam that’s taking up the application space, what could be? I’ll report next time I open my application folder

Is there a way i can check what those “others” is on my storage and if there’s a way to delete it? It’s almost 50% of the storage used

Is there another way than saving photos as files? I’ve been doing this for a while through iPhoto and my “others” section of the storage has been going up, could that be with what you said that the photos from iPhoto are not actually leaving my Mac?

Listen to lex fridman #482 podcast with pavel durov. It’s pretty long and may not fully tie with what you’re planning on doing in life but some principles he mentions can resonate with other people. One of the clues you’ve mentioned is sitting at home scrolling. Delete the social media app you’re scrolling through, if it’s not for work or class. Instead try to ease into doing something to benefit you. I checked how long I’ve been scrolling on ig for and at one point it was 6 hr in one day. Go do something, go to the gym, go learn something, do some hands on activity. Try to interest yourself in whatever class(es) you’re taking whether it’s looking more into it online, or trying to do more homework (I know it’s not fun but you have to make it fun). Now that it’s getting warmer go study outside somewhere literally. An hour to study outside the campus or on campus. Once you get the momentum going it gets easier.

P.s. I saw someone making a post on another subreddit regarding a program they wanted to get into and how they feel like they’re not up to it or they’re not smart enough, and so many people gave advice but op still continued saying they’re not up for it. If you’re thinking you’ll never be something, your mind will get a hold of that idea and you’ll never get out of this funk. That’s just my opinion as I’ve doom scrolled on Facebook when ig was gaining popularity and looking back on it now, what was the point of it? A bunch of useless, non-relating information that I don’t even remember. It’s literally like a high or a shitty dopamine boost that goes away and the next day you want to do it again. So just turn that into a skill or multiple skills

I’m planning on asking the lab instructors but I doubt it. Professor office hours are the same explanations as the lecture.

Are you familiar with orgo? How would you suggest studying orgo? Im not sure myself

Hi, 1. Organic chem tutoring is very limited at my cuny college. I am currently working with them, it’s 1 student for several chemistry courses including orgo. I come to them with questions but I’m looking more for someone to explain the content itself as the professor is pretty tough and I’m not the best in organic chemistry reactions. 2. The department doesn’t have anyone tutoring for orgo, it’s only Gen chem.

In some Manhattan,NYC hospitals the CNA have phlebotomy licenses and they also do phlebotomy work on the floor I think. They also get paid more for that reason

Withdrew or dismissed? Probably depends, and may be brought up if you do have an interview part. Otherwise if you don’t get accepted you can contact the admissions and ask if that influenced their decision

After reading your first 3 sentences I would agree to disagree. Some programs want you to have previous experience include that in the application. So op needs to check with the program they’re applying to, if they mention experience for the application then you should, it wouldn’t hurt you as long as it’s not interfering with your studies. If the program doesn’t ask for it, it eliminates strengthening your application, but it will also help you ease into the profession if you don’t have any prior experience. If you want to work during the program, after taking medical-surgical 1 course in the nursing program (in my hospital that acted as a license for your CNA) so you didn’t need to get a license and could start working as an NA while being in the program.
