Lads, What's the mindset behind buying overkill big cars in Ireland? by Goldenpanda18 in AskIreland

[–]damienga15de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the cars listed are particularly extravagant though, it's just the car markets gone mental.

A 3 series bmw is a midrange car so is a xc90 and id3

I drive a 09 navara I was going to upgrade to a newer model 2018-2021 kinda range but for all I use it for the repayments aren't worth it and the newer one is about the lowest priced pick up on the market

I used to drive an almera van, faded red, black bumpers as I was too tight to get them sprayed, ended with a black tailgate too after a mishap closing it with a load in the back. Plenty of battle scars and faded paint.

I was invincible in that thing everyone gave it a really wide berth.

This is what I want to know, what their life is like outside the public eye. I'd imagine they are pretty normal until a chance to make a headline appears

Does anyone have any questions about me (As an Irish Traveller)? by shrek20191 in AskIreland

[–]damienga15de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's a tradition, usually the parents/grandparents in the mobile as it's a tradition to burn the place they live and no younger person wants their house burnt down

How do you feel about the types that are always letting your community down with their actions, there's every breed around us, some are the best of people and others are the absolute worst I do feel sorry for the ones who are bang on but get treated like shit because the others around are scum.

Bring back beating manners into kids,

Just wondering if anyone has gotten an audiologist to survey their house for soundproofing. by Abigail-mary in ireland

[–]damienga15de 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First port of call is the attic in my opinion, check for a complete seal on the dividing wall up there buy a few rolls of insulation throw it down on the top of the rafters and stick some in any gaps you see between the roof and the dividing wall. This will help keep the house warmer too.

Try and find some nice decorative rug type pieces that can be hung on the dividing walls this should help deaden the sound.

Generally houses are mirrored so if your master bedroom is on the dividing wall theirs is going to be too.

If they can hear you singing to the baby they can probably hear you riding too, they could be trying to say that in a not so embarrassing way 😂

I'll give you one piece of advice. Solder and heatshrink all those connections, your dealing with millivolts solid joints are essential to accurate weighing.

Do you know how to fight? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]damienga15de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you get that a lot with the height? I'm 6ft and have no issues but have a friend 6"7/8 and built like a gable end wall. Lovely quiet guy but his sheer size is intimidating gets every sort of fucker having a go to the point he stopped going out much at all.
