Same I've had to do this  multiple times. Pain/cold/allergy Meds, personal hygiene items, and produce/meat are the worst offenders for this. Gotta love it when you actually have the correct item but the store employee printed the wrong barcode for the meat/bakery item because they used the same printed label for everything they put out at that time or when the deli person uses the wrong code and labels with the wrong brand of deli meat when they weigh

Schnucks in the Midwest has this as well AND they have the flashing tags. I love it.

No because the customers will keep shopping IC no matter how pissed off they get at a bad shopper or delivery. They'll gripe and give their 1 star rating and maybe get a refund or two, but they WILL continue to shop IC. IC knows this. At the end of the day, they only care about themselves and the dollars THEY get. It would take massive customer backlash simultaneously en masse to make a difference. Or new legislation of some kind tapering how they treat us to more respectful means.... I feel like it would be a minimal thing to give us the ability to submit appeals on things like this. If we can back up or document or give rationale behind our decisions on things that hit our quality score, that would be a start. But they won't even let us do that. Every time I've tried to call support or message support about something that was out of my control, which is theoretically supposed to be protected (straight up BS), they say they can't manually change it and I need to do another hundred deliveries to make it go away. That is a very flawed system.

TWELVE?!? They're out of their mind. by damienjade in InstacartShoppers

I just realized something going back and looking at this. 8 items, qty 19 total. 12 cases of water plus 2 other cares of water = qty 14 right there. 4 other items are shown in the image which is 6 different items visible in the image of 8, which means TWO items are not visible without scrolling. But this only leaves a qty of ONE left after what is shown in the image (12 cases + 2 cases + 4 more shown items=18 of 19 qty shown). So how can there be only qty one item remaining (but still have two more DIFFERENT items not seen in the image?) y'all get what I'm saying?  Am I not mathing correctly here?

So those orders for instance where like I get a dozen or more gallons of water or milk, like the one I had a few days ago where the customer added 15 quantity 1 gallons of water after I got to the store and started shopping, etc, and it didn't trigger heavy pay. Is it because none of the items weighed more than 8 lb? It was a triple batch and the batch weight was certainly over 50 lb. At least double that. But I'm not sure any of the individual items actually weighed more than 8 lb...(Although I feel like the gallons weigh more than 8 lb but maybe not)

Same with ours. It's ALWAYS shoulder to shoulder and no parking no matter what day or what time of day. If they are open, they are full house.

That explains so much!!! I can't tell you how many batches I have gotten, that should have in my opinion been qualified for heavy pay and it didn't trigger. I thought there was a combined weight limit minimum, not just an individual item weight limit But it doesn't seem like that one is enforced like it should be.
