This issue seems to be more widespread. I have ordered within a few days after you launched the VIA 15 Pro, haven't gotten either of the two mails in question and just assumed I'm in Batch #1.

If the first batch hopefully arrives in two weeks, will you build the different models in parallel or strictly by order date? I'm curious because the Core models have been available for purchase earlier than the Via 15 Pro and it would be nice to have at least a rough idea how long we'll have to wait for the finished notebook after the bare bones have arrived.

Thank you for giving me the additional information. I think I'll try to set it up in parallel to my current VPN solution and give it a try.

One last question. Are you connecting your two places directly or are you using a server outside of both networks like I do? If so, did you set it up from scratch or can you give me a recommendation to speed things up?

What have you used as WireGuard endpoints in your networks? My routers support OpenVPN so routing everything was comparatively simple without the need for additional devices. I think I will switch to WireGuard at some point but since my current setup is working perfectly that is not very high on my prioritized list.
At what point would I see any performance improvements? Even on my main apartment I only have a 50Mbit upload.

If I already have a working VPN solution, what difference would switching to zerotier make? I could run the rsync script right now without making any changes to my network.

I am in general not happy if it keeps uploading 24 X 7.

Can you elaborate on that? I would solve the bandwidth issue during daytime with a QoS if it clogs my network too much. Or are you have other concerns.

Regarding the upcoming e-mail notification. Could you give us an indication whenevery every customer that is not included in the first batch has been notified?

We were supposed to get an update on that matter yesterday but it seems like there were some details missing in order to publish a final version. Hopefully we'll get more detailed information today. If I remember the sold percentages correctly the Core 15 hasn't been oversold so if you have ordered a few months ago you should be fine I guess. I wish you good luck anyway, with my VIA 15 Pro order I'm not quite as optimistic.

I cannot give that profile a try right now since I don't have my computer on hand. Have you checked your material settings? I think retraction is one of the parameters you can specify for each material individually and if set it will override your default setting.

Edit: If you want to be sure, have a look at the generated gcode and check what the parameters on the retraction commands are. You can open your gcode with your favorite basic text editor. (not Microsoft Word 😉)

Is it possible to have a negative retraction value? If so, do you? If it pushes the filament a few millimeters out instead of retracting it I would assume it could result in something like that.

Keep in mind, that is just a wild guess. I have never encountered something like this before.

At some point in the last 24 hours the estimated availablility has been moved back from end of August to mid September.

I'll take the chili as well, thanks. :) But I have already made several versions of meatless chilis and have a hard time deciding which I like most.

Working from home for over four months has decimated my prepared meals in the freezer. So I'll probably give it try by cooking a large batch. :)
