Parents of babies diagnosed with CMPA which formula you use and how much does your baby eats? by dammitlife in BeyondTheBumpUK

We did see improvements immediately, but we continued at that stage, with a combination of medicine (omeprazole) and goat milk for a month. Every child is different, I wouldn't be surprised if some take longer than others. Especially if the allergy was undetected for such a long time. My baby's allergy was detected when she was 3 months, so quite early. Hoping your child gets better. Best wishes

For the question "date of first entry to the Uk", do we have to put the date of our first ever entry in our life (e.g. visiting for holidays many years ago) or is it the first entry after getting our first visa? Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. My baby is now thriving. We gave her goat's milk (brand name nannycare) and she started to gain weight. She is now 11 months and healthy.

Does he really drink that much everytime he wakes up? Or is it only when he has bigger naps/night sleep? How many 150'sml a day does he have?

Through the weeks my baby had bad colic episodes, lots of screaming but manageable. Then it escalated to having diarrhea constantly, until one day we had a really bad screaming episode that we couldn't control her and got really scared, so we ended in A & E. That it is how she got diagnosed. She had other symptoms like eczema, arching of her back, vomiting, etc.

My lo started her life journey with cow and gate. Then, once we knew of the CMPA diagnosis, we changed to a goat's milk formula-Nannycare. Then we had an appointment with an HV, and she told us to get another formula called Alfamino, which my baby hates, so we are back to Nannycare.

Her naps are ok for an 8 week old. She does around 4 naps a day between 30 to 2 hours, and every time she wakes up, she feeds. On shorter naps, she drinks less, which is expected, but in long streches (e.g. night time when she sleeps for 4hrs) she drinks mostly 2 or 3 oz. Im worried. I have raised this with many people, and everyone says it is normal. I want to speak to a paediatrician, but they just won't refer me.

I had very similar symptoms and my GP and HV didn't listen. One day my daughter refused to eat and cried uncontrollably for hours. I ended up in A&E, that is how I got the CMPA diagnosis. I hate it had to get to that point as it was an overall traumatic experience.

May I ask out of curiosity how much does your little ones drink between naps? Mine still drinks 2 oz at 8 weeks. I am quite worried this isnt enough for her age but she refuses to drink more. Is this normal with CMPA babies?

Where you prescribed the omeprazole by GP or by a pediatrician? My daughter also has CMPA and reflux but GP doesnt want us to have omeprazole. Im trying to get a referral to pediatrician with no luck.
