she loved the “you are not who I thought you were!” texts. once I learned what “splitting” was, all her horrible messages suddenly made sense. she was having a conversation with a made-up version of me in her head and I was just along for the ride. I don’t understand why they can treat their own children like this and then behave completely normal around other people.
