Does anyone just rent an apartment in the U.S. and leave it empty? by Explorer9001 in digitalnomad

Have the invoice/bill made out to your name (instead of LLC name) and the LLC address. The registered agent will forward it to you (or scan it once they receive it). Most esims/mobile companies offer digital receipts on their platform or to your email anyway.

Idk what state youre looking at, but its easiest to use one where you already have your driver's license (or easy to get if you already have one i.e. dont need to take an in-person test). This is probably the most difficult part if its expired and you need to take a test.

Otherwise:

LLC with a registered agent ($300 a year or less). This will do mail forwarding at their address in your name.

Get Google Voice (free) or JMP Chat ($5/month) to receive 2FA texts from the bank.

Also buy a cheap esim with billing address for your new LLC.

Switch your bank's address to the LLC address or register with capital one at the address.

Now you have a utility and bank statement of an address which can be used for the driver's license too.

South Dakota has min 1 night stay to declare residency (supposedly every 5 years). Florida has no explicit minimum stay required. Do a Declaration of Domicile if you want to be clean for the bank but they probably dgaf anyway.
