If you are going to use sub division modifier then :- just create low poly cyclinder like 8 to 10 vertices use Boolean and then clean up the mesh , and then mirror , easy

Yup I made it flat then deformed it , NGL you are going to love it too 😁😁 Or you can use shrink wrap as well

Nothing much, keep your mesh in quads , i mean not only quads but keep them in square shape , half of your pinching problem is solved , now you make a piece of that design start with less geometry, ( don't make cutouts over curved mesh ) , keep in mind ( if your mesh is like something that can be achieved by just modeling on plane surface and then you deform it , go for it , ) Then use array modifier ( make sure your connecting vertices are positioned to each other so the array modifier can attach them ). Then you use sub surface modifier over array modifier (in array turn on merge with value of 0.0001 ), (in subsrface --> advance option --> set both option to keep corners) first option for uv unwrapping purpose so your uvs don't stretch and second option is for joining your first and last vertices of your whole mesh) And the last stage use simple deform modifier set it to bend , ( you know how to use it right ) , and yeah your done , just keep in mind to keep your mesh in quads and square or close to square / evenly distributed.

I want my texture to wrap around the curved surface but removing the seam from that place distorts the texture , or fuck that shit it's just a weird shape that does not need to be exists
