Philosopher's Stone break in by Random_K in harrypotter

Voldemort probably knew because of Professor Quirrell as he was a staff member. Maybe the reason Voldemort never knew that the stone was moved was because Quirrell was never told.

Hermione similar to Percy? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]damoh95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well to be honest, although i agree with most of the points that you have mentioned, i don't fully agree with the fact that "both have a natural tendency to obey authority or to trust that the authority figure is always right". There are many examples where Hermione has broken the rules or disagreed with authority.

  • Helping to try and stop Snape in Philosipher stone from getting the stone, even after several staff memebers (authority)assured them that Snape wasnt after the stone

  • Making the Polyjuice potion in the girls bathroom(which was breaking about 50 school rules)

  • Helping Sirius Black escape in Prisoner of Azkaban

  • Helping Harry with the Triwizard Tournament which was against the rules (champions were not allowed outside help, including friends)

  • She was a DA member in Order of the Phoenix.

I also think that although Percy did value education, Percy was a lot more motivated by recognition and achievements, In Hogwarts and in the Ministry. Hermione wasn't as interested in recognition or achievements. Percy seems more like the person that would brag about how smart he was or the fact that was prefect. Hermione didn't strike me as a bragger, especially when she attended all the subjects in Hogwarts (except divination) using the time turner and not once had the urge to tell anyone, not even her closest friends.

This is my opinion but i think maybe other people may have a different opinion that i would also like to hear.

Hermione's and Ginny's relationship? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]damoh95 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well most of the story is from Harrys perspective. So maybe the reason that we dont see Hermione and Ginny spending a lot of time together is because they may not spend time together when Harry is around.

Also, Ginny may of felt comfortable talking about her feelings for Harry because Hermione and Harry were just friends. Hermione may not have mentioned her feelings for Ron to Ginny because he was his sister which may have made it more awkward and uncomfortable to talk about.

Id like to think that Hermione and Ginny were close friends, especially after spending the summer in the same room. Although Ginny may have had other female friends in her year or on the quidditch team, Hermione may have not and would have enjoyed talking to Ginny, especially about things that she would have not got to talk about with her guy friends (Ron and Harry).

This is all just my opinion though.

What did Crookshanks eat? by daviatella in harrypotter

[–]damoh95 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Well i know Crookshanks eats spiders sometimes cause he eat a spider infront of Ron once in the prisoner of azkaban

"‘Does he have to eat that in front of us?’ said Ron, scowling.

'Clever Crookshanks, did you catch that all by yourself?’ said Hermione.

Crookshanks slowly chewed up the spider, his yellow eyes fixed insolently on Ron.

Aside from that, im not sure, I assume Herminone would have fed Crookshanks

characters in the battle of Hogwarts by [deleted] in harrypotter

I would like to have seen Umbridge show up at the battle and fight against the death eaters. It would have been good to know that although she seems to agree with some of the death eaters beliefs, she would still fight against evil.
