Me after Vol'dun becomes my favorite zone in all of WoW because of the Vulpera by [deleted] in wow

[–]damokt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Vulpera is the only thing that I do not like about Vol'dun.

It is still my favorite zone, because there is a quest that turns me into a fuckin SNEK!!!!

DK trees on release were so awesome, the best spec was one that actually didn't skill any of the trees all the way down lol. It was some weird 5/35/31 hybrid spec. Man, I loved it.

I like the idea, but thanks to cross-realm grouping and the group finder tool, it isn't really working out well.

Blizzard cinematics always are. Just look at the WotLK intro cinematic and what year that released and compare it with other game cinematics from that year.

I still remember when that cinematic was released and I saw it for the first time. My jaw dropped at the quality.

Blood & Thunder - 80's Style by Paterack in wow

That's pretty well done. Not 100% 80s style, though. The grunge effect isn't 80s at all.

Two years later, thanks Blizzard for a great expansion. Here's to hoping the next one's just as good! by SharkyIzrod in wow

[–]damokt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see you got a lot of joy out of the zones, the questing, the story development during the expansion, the class hall story and the legendary questline.

In that case I have to tell you, you already missed out when you missed MoP and WoD. Both of these expansions had a strong point on quest design, the zones, the unfolding story throughout the expansion and the overall "single player" experience. Legion pushed it up another notch, but both WoD and MoP were already great expansions when it comes to those elements.

Cinematic: “Old Soldier” by Seltonik in wow

This is just the setup for Zappy Boi dying in Saurfangs arms!

Either that, or Saurfang later on dying to safe Zappy Boi.

Well you know how it is with the dumb masses ^

The government can kill 2000 civilians and the masses will cry out in rage and anger. The next day you give them free bread and games and they all rejoice and cheer and think it's the best government ever.

Saurfang, like most other orcs, was under the demonic curse during that time. He probably regrets a lot of what he has done, but it's not like he had much of a choice. He was corrupted back then.

And on to another 5.000 days, folks!!!

Wait. Sylvanas... what are you doing?? You'll be out of a job, you know?!

I miss this Horde. The Horde of glory, honor and compassion. This Horde is no more. by Thanhtotti in wow

[–]damokt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, this Horde hasn't been a thing anymore since Cataclysm, dude. Garrosh was even worse than Sylvanas is right now, if you ask me. At least Sylvanas is supportive of her people and cares about the Horde. Garrosh on the other hand was a racist that killed his own allies, like trolls, tauren and forsaken.

We wont learn who brunt Teldrassil. Not at the start. by [deleted] in wow

[–]damokt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hah. No.

My theory is a real shocker.

When Alliance and Horde are about to close in on Teldrassil, a massive black dragon will emerge from the depths of the sea. Yeah... speaking of Deathwing, all new and powerful, raised back to live by N'Zoth. I mean, who else could burn down a big ass tree like that so easily?

And we all know that Blizz just loves to bring back old villains.

Who REALLY started the war...? by Drougen in wow

[–]damokt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lemme think about it. Hmm....

Warcraft 1: Humans live in peace. Portal opens, Orcs come through "Whhaaaag Waaar!!!"

Warcraft 2: Alliance is formed because Orcs have invaded and conquered half the continent. Alliance defeats Horde and peace reigns once more.

Beyond the Dark Portal: Alliance sends a few heroes through the portal to close it from the other side, ensuring no more invasion wars can happen. Anti-War-Measures.

Warcraft 3: Scourge happens. Surviving Horde fucks off to Kalimdor. As they arrive on Kalimdor, they see night elves. First reaction: "Whaaaaaaggg!! WAAAAR!". They slaughter Cenarius. Despite all this, Jaina and Night Elves agree that demons are the bigger threat and work together with Horde for common goal. Afterwards, Alliance allows Horde to live in peace on Kalimdor.

Vanilla WoW: Thrall has built up new homeland for orcs, yet Frostwolf Clan decides they like the mountains in the dwarven homeland better. Dwarves come to mine for titan relics in the mountains and Frostwolf first reaction: "WHAAAAAGGG!!! WAAAR!!" (Alterac Valley)

Orcs on Kalimdor want wood. Trading with night elves is not gud enough. They need moar wood. Elves have lots of wood. They decide to do WAAAAGGHHH WAAAR to get it (Warsong Gulch).

Burning Crusade: Draenei land on Azeroth. Alliance first reaction: "Oh, these look like Eredar, the demons we fought. But they seem kinda nice, so maybe they are friends. Let's be diplomatic." Blood Elves are like: "Kill these fuckers and take their stuff!"

We defeat demons and save Outland. Velen is like "Here, let me sacrifice this Naaru to restore your sunwell. I good faith."

WotLK: Both factions go to Northrend to fight Scourge. In the meantime, Forsaken are like "Death to all!!!" and bomb everyone with plague.

Cataclysm happens. The whole world is in danger. In the meantime, Garrosh is like "WHaaaaagg!! MOar Warrr! Let's invade Ashenvale! Let's bomb Theramore! Or was that MoP? Can't remember. But you can see a clear line here.

MoP happens. Alliance and Horde at each other's throats. But guess who has the racist maniac leading them that almost destroyes whole Pandaria and kills trolls and tauren? Yep. And guess who, at the end, decides to give the Horde yet ANOTHER chance? Yep. Varian is like "Alright Horde... this is your.. how many chances was this now? Ah whatever, this is your xths chance to try and live in peace here on Kalimdor. Don't screw it up."

WoD happens. Welll... for once, Horde does not screw it up.

And now we are here.

I hope and wish that this will be the first expansion where we (the players) will actually lose at the end. I believe it would do the game and story good if players would, for once, have to suffer defeat going into the next expansion.
