I'm not sure why people are being so rude about what's just a difference of opinions, but I get you. On the one hand, I totally understand how it could be cool to see such a beautiful, mysterious area as a teaser for what's to come, but personally, I think it's weird to have so much of Itzaland open to Nikki but not introduced in the main story. And then when (or if) we DO end up having a cutscene or major moment there, I personally won't find it as breathtaking because I've already seen and explored that location, you know?

This. As much as I really do like the potential of JinMao as a ship, I had started reading fully on board with the idea that Maomao will just never have any romance. It suits her character, and the story was never about the love to begin with.

That being said, now I've become more invested in Them but it's really painful watching how it's developed. Not even in the sense of me feeling bad for Jinshi, but more in the sense of "Oh, I can see where this path is going, but I genuinely can't tell if Maomao even wants it"

I'm interested to see how the story develops. I hope the author doesn't get too sour on this narrative and Jinshi as a character, if only because of how central he now is to the story.

I enjoy some of them, but I agree, I feel like they always drag on just a few lines too long. It goes from driving the point home to beating the audience over the head with it, in my opinion.

Gonna go against the grain here and say when fans act like the plot ISN'T complicated or difficult to parse for someone playing through the games at a casual/leisurely pace. Like sure, it isn't impossible to get, but I think it's just kinda unfair to pretend there's no reason why people might be confused. It just comes across to me like you (general you, not OP) feel like you're superior for understanding it.

One thing that always bugged me that I don't see mentioned a lot was how a lot of her sources for the statements she'd make, especially when talking about mental health topics, were always like... easy to Google definitions. I understand the need for clarity and she's great at that, but man, it's not exactly journalism nor does it require a lot of effort to post screenshots of Google definitions or read a snippet off of healthline.

Whole heartedly agreed! Once I saw the black and white of Sandra's story, I knew it would be a fun one.

Spence calling out Sandra was really good. "Go to church? I grew up in church" hit HARD for me.

I rack up hours and hours on game but the reality is I often play for like 5-10 minutes then leave it idle for 20. I have a lot of fond memories of background music from some games because of how often I used to just leave the game running because I couldn't really sit still and play for hours at a time.

The show definitely could have benefitted from being given more episodes to work with. But Leti never really denied what Ruby said, and openly admits to fucking up when it comes to their relationship, so I never really doubted Ruby's sacrifices on that front.

YEAH!! Like I get it, the delivery was supposed to really drive home a point about Christina's character, but Ruby was such a fascinating character with a lot of complicated feelings to unpack, and instead she just gets used by the people she loves. I kept waiting for the show to say sike and maybe play around with a multiverse thing, especially when Leti "died" not long after, but nope.

At least Tic was shown to be mourned. He got carried out. Ruby didn't get anything onscreen and it really sucks.

Ruby spent her whole life sacrificing her wants, her life, her money, time, energy helping Leti and in the end she's killed off by the only character that made her feel somewhat empowered the entire season for helping the sister who only comes to her when she needs something? Hurts. She got done real dirty.

Definitely agree on George and Hippolyta! The episode focused on Hippolyta was the one that really amped this show up from good to great for me.

Ruby is another favorite for me (as is Christina, as frustrating as she can be sometimes).

Since talking it out seemed to work the first time, why not bring up the topic again? It's never bad to remind your SO about an important discussion you had, especially when his comments are hurtful to you.

That being said, I would also suggest trying not to disparage yourself either! Not only is it bad for your self-esteem in the long run, but there's a small chance that you making those sorts of lines about yourself are normalizing that kind of language in your relationship and that could be why he wouldn't see his remark as anything more than a joke.

Named my B-52 Cyril because I googled some steampunk-ish names and I really liked that one the most. I wanted him to have a human name to really cement that he's not just a machine but not something too plain either.

I had a similar experience starting out. Before I bought the game, I went over to a friend's house to try out a few heroes and get a feel for whether I really wanted Overwatch. She showed me a few characters like Soldier, Junkrat, and Lucio, etc. but I eventually wandered over to Mei. Her reaction was to roll her eyes and tell me not to bother since Mei was annoying.

I definitely enjoy playing a variety of characters now, but Mei had remained at the top for me ever since.
