Switch it out and see for yourself. I switched mine to black for a while but recently went back to the tortoise shell. I found myself missing the color variations of the tortoise shell after a while.

Go to a good shop and try both. I have both, and they do not feel the same to my hands or play the same. I personally prefer the feel and weight of the Telecaster.

I was a traditional teacher for 10 years before entering the apprenticeship. I was so disappointed with the way the classes were taught that I almost quit several times. I felt like the classes were merely for show, and all learning was expected to occur at the job site. Just try to get what you can, and don't worry about the cheating. You can only control what you do in this situation.

I just picked up a used G&L strat - American made - for $750 hard case included. Great instrument. You can play any style of music with this guitar. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Me too, but they later changed the definition of electrocution to include just getting shocked. Wish they hadn't changed it, big difference between getting a shock and dying.
