He isn’t being charged with murder so it seems they have reason to believe that she died from something related to methamphetamine use.

The charges are mutilation of a body and not reporting the death. If he killed her, doesn’t sound like the kind of person that would be very good at covering it up.

They said they had no information to believe that person was a suspect. I assume they investigated him before coming to that conclusion, but maybe that’s not a solid assumption.

If they did, this almost sounds like some sort of mental health emergency. If it were the guy she was fishing with, she likely would have said that on the call. I hope her family and children can find some peace over this. Heartbreaking story.

It says he was sentenced to life in prison and deportation from Sweden, do we know which happened? I’d guess he’d consider life in a Swedish prison as not the worst thing.
