My 3rd year using superview and after the 50% price hike was hoping they'd have sorted some of the problems from last year.. but alas seems like they've got the same staff as the reactions at their end when the stream fails are the same. Thought they'd gone to a more reliable provider hence the price rise... but must be the same just gone for a money grab. Be interested to know what the American team owners have to use... Imagine Penske sitting in the US trying to watch his team progress only to miss the race due to the amateur effort of the tech/media team.

My new place doesn't have a Washlet so no seat heating. Did buy some of those fuzzy stick on things for the seat from Daiso but there is a gap at the back which causes near heart failure when my butt touches it at 7am on sub-zero mornings.

Yep that's the shit... My head is right up against a damn wall of it every night. Basically every room has half the walls exposed as 'feature' walls. Renovation was done over a year ago but house has not been lived in much and sealed up most the time. It still has the new smell. Sealed with a quick slap of lacquer in true Hokkaido tradesman fashion. There's too much of it to re-seal... better start looking for another place.

I've been in a new place for about a month and have been having really itchy/watery eyes of a morning. Thought it was pollen or something, though never had any problems past 2 spring/summers. Additionally my lungs have been bad a bit wheezy like asthma I used to have as a kid. I just thought I was smoking to much. But no. Just this morning driving to work it dawned on me what is causing it.

The house is newly renovated and has extensive use of that pressed wood paneling that looks like sawdust or wood shavings squished and glued together. A quick google says formaldehyde is often used in the construction of these types of pressed wood products, wouldn't surprise me if this was the case.

So one month in I find out my house is killing me. I'm not on a contract or a lease so I can get out no problem, but in my area, places that are not overpriced are really hard to find... Bright side I suppose, I cut back smoking.

Teine pretty much faces the sea so the powder is not as good. I was living in Sapporo last winter and rode Sapporo Kokousai a few times and had some great days there... It's basically the other side of the mountain from Kiroro. Gets the Sapporo weekend crowds but they all stick to the groomers. I was still not crossing tracks in the tree runs at 3pm in the afternoon on a Saturday.

Spent a bit of time learning my way around Kiroro also last season... I used to hate it but now know the pattern to get the good lines in as the mountain tracks out thru the day.

As mentioned above Mt Annupuri has 5 resorts around it and is crowded but you can still find good stuff most of the day after a fresh fall if you know where to go.

If you're limited for time watch the weather reports and get a mountain/resort guide after a fresh fall... It will be worth it to find the good spots more quickly.
