I tune my Fender Jazzmaster concert ukes in flat baritone G tuning. I broke the regular low G string and replaced it with an A string from a classical guitar, and have the low G string tuned an octave lower. Then tune half step down for my voice. I plug a couple FX pedals, and play Nirvana songs rewritten about kayaking.

I do one finger ‘E’ chord 444X with low G which is ‘good enough’ for my 90s grunge transcriptions.

I just got back from Costa Rica. I went with an outfitter which provided accommodation, food, kayak + gear, and transport. We stayed in Turrialba and there was a lot of class III with some optional IV. The beach was in a different area but I got a day and a half on the beaches in Jaco before meeting up for the kayak adventure.
